It looks to me that the following have been updated:

Hard Drive to 200-250GB
Upgraded Graphics Cards up to 512mb
Multi-touch
Updated processor speed up to 2.5GHz

I know for a fact Multi-Touch is there :D

okay... 3 more months and I get 3.06 Ghz 1066 Mhz front-end bus!!!!! who's still with me?!!?!!?

I don't believe it is... so everyone was right- they will refresh but they're going to wait for montevina which is the wise thing to do

...and the thread continues.... so everyone is still waiting for the Penryn... ahahaha suckers :D

FINALLLYY!!!!!!! The wait is over, and those are the new Penryns for those who were asking. Anyway lets check those badboys out!:D:D:D:D

IT'S HERE IT'S HERE IT'S HERE

2.4GHz and 200GB as standard, multi-touch, up to 512MB GPU, all LED :D

Edit: WTF? New 2.4GHz MacBook as well! 2GB RAM standard!

"Power duo.

The new Intel Core 2 Duo processors run at speeds up to 2.6GHz on a groundbreaking 45-nm process technology with up to 6MB L2 cache. And the powerful NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor now includes up to 512MB of video memory."

NICE!

So after all this time, no magnetic latch, new keyboard, GPU upgrade (except for RAM), or display resolution increase.

So it got multitouch (seems like the trackpad stayed the same size), more VRAM, and a bump to Penryn...so you gotta wonder why it took so long. I guess all the people who hate the MB style keyboard will be pleased, though it seems like everyone who was waiting for the MBP had accepted it as inevitable.

The low end 15 has only 3MB cache on its 2.4 gHz. The $1499 blackbook has the same processor and a larger HD, so you're basically paying $500 for the GPU (and Aluminum). I think at the moment the low end is horrendously overpriced whereas the mid range and the 17" are just the standard level of overpriced.

The mid 15 and 17 look like they got Penryn...as they're now listed in the specs as having 6MB L2 cache.

The store still says the 2.4GHz model has a 128MB GPU, but everywhere else says 256.

Shame there's no mag-latch, new-style keyboard and upped resolution... guess they'll be on the Montevina model ;)

ONLY 5 MONTHS TO GO GUYS... :D

The UK store still has graphics cards listed as 128 and 256 mb. I assume this is a typo.... or maybe they don't like us brits

I'm still with you- I'm in it to win it... all or nothing baby... going for the glory.... I need moral support- Its so hard not to throw my money at apple... must..not...do...it...

Do you think they're follow the screen size trend for the montevina update?? Maybe we'll get a 17.5"? That'd be sweet. My love life would be brought to a whole new level... it'd be like i was actually there...
