All Apple cares about is how to milk more money out of their customers. €390 is a joke - this is just admitting that even Apple themselves don't value their own products as high as they sold them. Better off selling it privately

Me thinks I could get easily € 750-800 for it, in as new condition as it was when I unpacked it safe for the lower battery capacity but it's still in a very good shape too.

6s to 11/Pro makes sense. But from X or XS? Not as much.
Yea...no normal consumer is on a yearly upgrade path. I don’t know why this forum insists that members are the core of Apple’s userbase.

I’m an IT guy and I love seeing the evolution of technology, but I’m well passed the point of feeling compelled to upgrade constantly. All my old tech works beautifully, which should be seen as a ringing endorsement of the quality of Apple hardware above all else.

Are the "pro" phones dual sim?
The Pro and NON Pro are dual sim using the esim for one.
[doublepost=1568145864][/doublepost]Interesting stuff about the Ultraband listed on their website, making things like Airdrop better etc. Not even mentioned during the dam keynote. Lets just talk about the camera more.... Oh and the e-sim support on the iPhone 11 and Pro's. Or how about no one even mention the release dates of iOS, tvOS etc....

Felt like they had a spare 20 minutes to kill that got cut last minute?

How much was the Arcade a month? People are saying it said $4.99 a month but was that per person or for Family? I thought I saw per Family but that would be unbelievable! I can't find where it said.
EDIT:
Oh I just found it and it is for Family! WOW! That's great!

iPhone 11 Pro looks good, but no reason whatsoever to upgrade my X, which I've only had since Nov 2018. My wife has a 7 and that still works like a charm.

This it tricky. Like a lot of people, I keep my phone at bedside during the night. I don't want any extra light keeping me awake.

I imagine it will come with some kind of sleep mode. Always on display has been standard on Samsung watches for ages and it has options for when going to bed or the theatre to reduce annoyance. Maybe Apple can invent that too?

Samsung announced the Fold will have all the major app players on board at launch - Microsoft, Adobe, etc. I tried a Note 10 Plus and, I am sad to say, for the first time in 12 years, I am using the Note as my main phone.Previously, I upgraded my iPhone every single year. But not this time, that's how underwhelming this new iPhone is. If you are buying a new phone, it is top notch. But as an upgrader, the 11/Pro Max is very light on changes, but added $200-$300 to the price tag.

Underwhelming and catching up. Yes the CPU is a beast, but 99% of users will rarely notice or reap the benefits. Everything else, well it is imitation rather than innovation. All the other manufacturers have beaten them to the features they revealed on their phones, and quite successfully so. Night Vision, Telephoto, Wide angle, merged image data - this is not innovation so don't claim it.

It's not a bad thing for Apple to do these features, but for the love of God, stop trying to claim that they were the first. It's almost as nauseating as their overuse of the word Pro.

You're probably right. But the train is racing full-speed towards the Sculley cliff, and the higher it goes, the more spectacular the train-wreck will eventually be.

History tells us that Apple will not reign supreme forever but the person that can accurately predict, within a year, when that demise begins, will make a boatload shorting the stock.

Apple already told Engadget the always on display can be turned off on the Watch, can't see why the same option would not apply to an Iphone for the same feature.

I can't even tell you how disappointed i am right now. There is nothing about those phones that make me want to get them. Except for the Camera Night Mode. I mean, the iPhone 11 is nice, sure. Worth it i guess if you want an iPhone and you don't have one. But for the Pro? Zero interest. It doesn't even look good.

And i thought last year was worse... when i look at this line-up i want the Xs / Xs Max back. Atleast they didn't raised the prices.

Oh, and that "By innovation only." Are you kidding me Apple? It's meant to be ironic, right?
This is good news! Keep using your current iPhone and spend the money on something more worthwhile.

One thing I noticed, they don't show the actual products anymore, it's all flashy ad type videos. Its sad they cant find someone who isnt as boring as watching grass grow to present. I also think the more the tech matures there will be less oh wow moments especially when they feel the need to update every year.

True. Even though AR can be little overrated, the demos were cool in previous keynotes.

This time the only new thing was battery nä life and camera, none of that is demo able. But tbh 99% of the time ppl won't notice the difference between X and 11 Pro camera, apart from the wide shots.

That’s just it - people who buy a brand (any brand) and constantly need the newest thing “because it’s newer”.

Then enter people who buy something to use the features it offers.

I just replaced a 2011 MBP last year as my daily machine, I bought an iPhone 7 about 9 months after it came out because my 5S screen+Home button was completely destroyed - my wife still uses a 6S+.

It might be time to get her a new one, as she’ll love the improved camera. Personally I’m hoping they jump to USB-C ports before I need to upgrade again.

Yeah. My 8 Plus will last for many years to come. I also liked the new iPad 10.2", but they slightly raised the prices for that in my country and it still has the A10 chip. Looks like i won't get that one either then.

Overall, pretty much a snooze fest. Apple TV+ and Arcade price points and offerings look great. Hardware is an incremental as I have seen in years. I’m not saying that’s necessarily bad, but no big news today outside of the content offerings. Notice how much time they spent talking about camera improvements? Ugh.

WTF, my XS is not even a year old, about €1150 10 months ago, shiver and shake looking at the screenshot below...

€390...WHAT

A total joke Apple

Just checked. They would offer me 260 € for my 10 month old 8 Plus 256 GB... in almost new condition. I paid 959 € for that also 10 months ago... insane. But i wanted to keep it anyway. This thing will last me years.
