ShowmanshipI'll never get why Apple has to take down all their Apple online stores for hours before the event. Do they not have the capability of changing their webpage and adding new products in real time?
Mmm I can't believe this. Maybe Apple will post a link for Quicktime X and it never stops playing. Can't believe they are gonna say "reopen every time it stops".

No. For supported systems (Quicktime X, OS X 10.6, iPhone, iPad, etc...) it will work as expected. Live continous stream.
The workaround is for people who don't have a supported system and just have VLC.

So it appears I'd be better off using my iPod touch at this point, than dealing with the hassle of getting it on my PC.

I know this will be on at 12:00 noon Central time. My question is, will it be 12:00 noon AM or PM? This is all so confusing.
Here's a thought: What if Apple could allow the new AppleTV to not only watch OnDemand content via streaming, but also allow LIVE content (sporting events, concerts) to be streamed to it?
About QT X for windows: They would have to do it if they want to allow streaming through iTunes.
If that were the case, I'd buy immediately. The only thing keeping me from dropping satellite is live broadcasts. Have to have my football!
