My thought. It COULD be a neat solution, although I think it will end up being confusing, but... meh. It's minor.
but its hard to hit the f keys when there's no tactile feedback (provided that you have them showing)
Next time you are typing up a 20 page report, you can impress your boss by adding emojois every time you try to save the document.
But the trackpad is closer to my fingers than this touch bar, so how is it easier?
Apple can do one im done, they have become a joke company im no longer an apple fan boy

The Touch Bar will require you to be courageous. Are you up to the challenge?
If this is the best they have to offer, Apple is screwed.
I wonder how you force quit with Command-Option-Esc if the Esc is hidden and can't get back to it?
the touch bar should have been placed below the display or made part of the display itself that should have been TOUCH.

Its compromise to not having a touch screen and making keyboard short cuts more readily accessible to those not willing to learn them. I'm not thrilled about it, but honestly, I hardly use the function bar area anyway, so what ever.
Most people don't look at their keyboard very much when they're typing/working. This is adding something that changes our behavior. A touch screen would have been a better idea.
