Ouch at those prices, and for only 8 GB RAM. I was actually considering upgrading my late 2013 rMBP if they were priced the same as the previous ones. Unlikely to happen now.

I agree it was a pretty weak demo. They didn't introduce anything I wanted to have. I was thinking they might update the iPad, but they didn't.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get it.

I'll keep my 11" MBA, obviously, since there's now nothing that portable left in the lineup. Whether I replace my 2014 15" MBP depends on hands-on with the new iteration, but neither the hands-on nor purchase will be happening anytime soon.

Only 2 Thunderbolt 3 on the $1499 MacBook Pro, and a 2.0GHz Core i5. So the extra $300 brings a faster processor, more Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the Touch Bar.

Just like Microsoft's recently unveiled machines to be released in 2017, yes. There are no higher powered mobile Kaby Lake chips yet.

Oh there is plenty of them already in hands of consumers. Like Dell XPS, Asus ZenBook UX410, HP's Spectre x360 etc.

Ridiculous $2400 starting price for a laptop? I don't care what pro moniker you are using, apple but seriously 4 usb-C ports, a gimmick touch bar, larger touchpad, GREAT touchID (finally), but seriously the prices are ridiculous.

Step up your game and make a full touchscreen mbp. This is nearing end of 2016 and yet not one single mbp has a touchscreen. All these touchbar focus is just absolutely horse-sht because if you think about it developers will have to develop to use that touchbar anyway so why dont' they just develop for touchscreen adoption as well.

If you cannot see how much of an illusion this is you really have too much money to spend. There is really nothing justifying the costs of these new mbp's!

Now I would have to carry a bunch of dongles around. There are times I wish this company would get hit financially so they can bottom out and rethink for their customers. The loyal ones are the ones who are suffering.
