What a joke that was. No built in SD card slot, no MagSafe, the base model still 256GB ssd. Shame on you Apple. After reading about the superb Surface Studio the new MBP is a joke. Sorry!
I've never understood people's obsession with always needing the latest when at only 3 years old you'd think one would be content and maybe even happy with something that usually doesn't need to be upgraded often.That was absolutely the first time I've watched a Mac event where I'm left with zero desire to buy anything on offer. More depressing (though not for my walletis that for my usage, I honestly prefer what I already own! (maxed late '13 15" rMBP)

Well that was a waste of time watching that, only 1 new product announcement and nothing for us desktop users
Any desktop they make would be inevitably compared to the Microsoft Surface Studio-- and even if, spec-wise, it turned out to be the superior machine-- it would pale in comparison-- simply because the Surface Studio looks to be so forward thinking.

Sad thing is... the Touch Bar will mainly be used for easy emoji selection...
Apple are going to find, over the next few years, less and less customers willing to pay inflated prices as the Apple bubble slowly bursts.
Not impressed. I do like the touch bar, but missing the USB ports? No thank you. I don't want to have to use a dongle for everything. I'm still using my 2012 13 inch macbook pro that I upgraded to 16GB of RAM and 2TB SSD because I like the upgradeability.
It's the same reason i'm keeping my Macbook Pro (Early 2015)... the rest i don't see anything for me anyway... Not to say there anything ,, but for me personally... nothing is out there
Base 15" was $1999 before this update, so no.
Granted the new base 15 has discrete graphics and the touch bar, but it is still higher priced than the outgoing model.
If you only based your buying decisions on the comments here, you'd never buy any Apple product.
This is all that they good do in 4 years time. Any no name brand will have it before Apple starts shipping. It's so much expensive air. Even the audience looked ashamed to me. When hearing the voice of Ive again my neck hairs spontaneously starts to raise.

It's clear that Apple's best days are in the past. Like Bezos said, eventually all big companies fall.
so shrunk a little, add a touch bar. that's it. no new imac, no macbook air (i guess they cant shrink it anymore). meanwhile microsoft is actually innovating, their new all in one looks very nice.
apple just doesnt have the passion anymore to innovate, it's about squeezing steve job's achievements as much as they can.
The only thing they ever did after jobs that was somewhat innovative is the apple watch, and that didnt have anywhere close to the impact the iphone, ipad, and the macbook had.
