I dunno if I'm getting old, cynical, or both, but nothing today excited me. I'm hopeful my iPhone 5c sticks around for another two years so I'm not forced into shelling out more money for a product I'm not excited to purchase.
Tim didn't mention the 5c in the iPhone lineup, and it looks like it's been dropped from the Apple website too -http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/

"The only TV remote you'll ever need".

Why, can I change the soundscape of my surround receiver with it? Can I change which HDMI input I want to use with it? Does it have HDMI sync, can it eject bluray discs like my other HDMI remotes can? Does it wake up my whole system on a (any) single button press like my PS3 remote does?

As I get older I grow more tired of hyperbole.

"Buy a can of Salve, it cures anything that ails ya!"

I actually get more mellow the older I get :) Looking forward to getting the wife and myself a new iPhone so we can take even better pics of our beautiful little girl ... all the standard corp-speak just rolls right off me, it's not important, it means so little in the grand scheme of things.

This event is nothing short of disappointing.

An overpriced iPad Pro, that has an overpriced $99 pen and keyboard (forgot how much it is) at an additional cost running a mobile OS.

A new color for the ugly iPhone (even though I own a 6 plus, I do agree that they're hideous looking phones). No change to those ugly caulk lines, and a pink color. Whoopty-do. A new processor, like always, and force touch, which is a gimmicky feature like the s-pen is on the Samsung devices. Oh, and the best part about the new iPhones? 16 GB base storage even though they've beefed up the camera, will be adding more complex games, and added those motion picture things.

Oh and do you know what's even more stupid than the 16 GB announcement? What about Apple Pay? No mention of how to use the rewards cards and card at the same time, nor is there any mention of new merchants or countries added to the list.

I love Apple but I've never thought I'd say this before... I think Tim Cook needs to go.

What are you talking about,

every high end phone has 32GB as a minimum, Apple keeping the 16GB base just smacks of greed, essentially forcing people to pay more money if they plan to keep any media on there phone which is made even worse now by the fact that the phone can recoard 4K.

It's just storage, either u like it, or u hate it.

My overall take: It's pretty nice for an "S" upgrade. Too bad we knew all the details in advance. I'd really like it if the Pencil worked with the iPad Air 2. Hopefully we'll get more details soon. The Apple TV is pretty sweet and reasonably priced. iPad Pro looks interesting, but I'm not sure it will be enough to stem the decline in iPad sales, as it's pretty pricey with all the options. Apple does seem to be slowly converging to Microsoft's vision of an "all-in-one," but starting from iOS rather than OS X. iOS 10 will likely see some major improvements if this trend continues (partially visible file system, etc.).

One more thing! You all will wake up tomorrow morning with every One Republic album and a full photo library of One Republic photos, conveniently on your iPhone!

I'm surprised they emphasize the two year contract prices still. I thought most people didn't purchase phones like that anymore. I know with AT&T I can only get the two year contract price from the AT&T store and not the Apple Store.

The sticker shock would be too great if they showed the real prices. $0, $299, etc are much more palatable, if not realistic.

Best over presentation:
-The sports guy talking bout the features for Apple tv sounding like he smoked too many cigarettes...and losing his voice.
- Purple clothes lady...showing nipples.
- ipad prosumer, it's somewhat cool...but...it didn't live up to much expectation.

It's funny the amount of you that are complaining about 16GB storage option still existing. Clearly you live in a beautiful world where Apple cares about something other than making money. They don't. No company cares about anything other than making money.

They sell the 16GB for two reasons:

1) A lot of people still buy the 16GB iPhone. I'm one of them. I have very few apps, and don't take too many photos. I rarely delete stuff on my iPhone. Enterprise especially like the cheaper 16GB iPhone, many coorporate customers lock their work phones down so you can't install apps at your own free will anyway. They deploy a small selection of coorporate apps and that's it. They don't need to waste money on more capacity.

2) If 32GB was the base option, fewer people would pay for the 64GB or 128GB model. They would lose money. Remember what Apple cares about most ? yeah, money. They don't care so much about people on tech blogs moaning that it's too little, because they know full well 90% of you will stomach the upgrade price for a higher capacity model anyway.

Tim better triple down on the secrecy on products because Mark Gurman leaked everything announced at the event well in advance.

I think the amount of announcements diminished the overall excitement for each product. I was overwhelmed by the amount of announcements but underwhelmed by each individual announcement.
Apple should focus on their mantra - make few products but make them exceptional. "Announce few products, but announce them exceptionally"

Don't know if posted already but...

Looks like no new OS for ATV3. And "new" ATV is HDMI 1.4, and A8 chip. I expected A9X tbh.

I'm guessing they're saving 4K and HDMI 2 for the next version.

Still want one.

I wonder if the boost to 7.1 means at least DD+ like Amazon/Netflix offer. DDHD would be nicer...

Its pretty obvious that Tim Cook has abandoned Apples core values.

iPad pro is something I'd like to buy Apple TV I will be buying.

Is love the new iPhone but I will get the 7 next year.

Can anyone explain the whole iPhone upgrade there starting in the U.S.?

I think that ipad pro looks amazing.. as a photographer my MacBook pro just went down but I was thinking I enjoyed having a ipad only and a desktop and iphone. The ipad pro is definitely my next apple product. I haven't liked a lot of things apple has came out with lately but that ipad pro is def a must have...
