Interesting how the amazing and magical new iPad Mini does not have a retina display. Next year, the Apple engineers will make another huge breakthrough and bring us all the most amazing and beautiful new iPad Mini yet!! YAAY!

bahahaha at the fanboys here upset over ipad4

I'm not even bothered. It is a small update to the iPad but that is all that is needed now.

The iPad started it the iPad 2 refined it and now we get smaller but decent updates to the camera, processor etc.

My stream was slightly lagged behind realtime. When the stream finished, mine cut out! Jeeze Apple, I was on tenterhooks about a one-more-thing.

My dad's gonna be happy hearing about the new iMac.

Wow, that iMac looks amazing and they FINALLY ditched the optical drive...thank you! Looks like i'll be pre-ordering the iPad mini...beautiful little device...

Are you sure that is the reason for no Retina display? Go read up about it before you come to that conclusion.

"It’s set to have a 1024 x 768 screen resolution instead, simply because it’s much cheaper to produce and will more than do the job"

So why bother with iPhone in that case???

It potentially could. Legacy technology, particularly ones with moving parts such as an ODD, are more likely to be prone to failure.

And please don't forget, you still have the option. It's called the external ODD.

Sort of defeats the purpose of an 'all-in-one', doesn't it?

btw, for the iMac I do think they should have kept an optical drive and added a retina display. Why per se? The whole thing is stationary. I understand why they wanted to remove the optical drive for the MacBook but again this is a stationary device. The rules for a stationary device does not need to be like a mobile device. It doesn't have to be thinner and lighter. It just has to be the most functional.

...

Those iMacs are beautiful...museum quality design. But not for me. This new design confirms my 2010 is my last one. The fusion drive worries me.

4th gen iPad...they are computers so it's not surprising that another was released in the same year. I will happily use my 3rd generation for another 18 months.

Mac Minis. If there is a mid-range one (I only caught the server and the entry model), all the new tech is definitely a step in the perfect direction for me. Hope they will still be around.

13" Retina? Lovely, but not for me.

iPad mini, pass. Now they've found a way to make the regular size lighter and not compromise the battery life and screen, I'll stick with the 9.7" size.

I will upgrade my iPad just so my phone and the ipad have the same connector. That drive me nuts.

Awesome event! Many great product updates!

Only disappointment is the price of the mini is $30 too high.

I was really not expecting the new retina iPad until next year... it's very tempting to replace my original iPad

wondering

What will apple's pricing on REFURBS be for ipad2 and ipad3 ?
how will that work I wonder...

Apple, one the most successful technology companies of our time, can't figure out how to video live-stream an event.

Really bizarre.

Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Ubisoft, they all do it for E3 every year... yet Apple, with it's hundreds of billions of dollars, can't do it.

I watched the whole thing on my son's ipad with absolutely no problem. I was amazed at the quality of it. Maybe it was an ISP issue you had? I'm in Mexico, by the way and I have cable.
