Can someone please explain to me what everyone is moaning about ?

You have a phone that looks different, a new style, a new design.
You have a thinner, lighter phone
You have a bigger screen, with pro level color accuracy
You have an improved camera, both hardware and software side
You have your A6 SoC that you all wanted, 2x as fast CPU and GPU
You also have LTE
All while keeping the same battery life ?

Oh, darn it, theres no NFC. That makes it such a big failure.

Not.

I don't actually know what else they could of done.

It's the typical moaning. We got the same after the 4S announcement. Really, this was a good product. It's unfortunate for the excitement factor that everything leaked over the last 2-3 weeks, but this is a good update and a nice phone. About all they could have done was add a bigger display version to mollify the "bigger is better" crowd, but that crowd isn't Apple's core market.

Samsung's approach is similar to Nokia's. They throw lots of products with minor design differences out into the market to see what sticks. Apple's is different. They release one significant update and cultivate a market.

Honestly, my feelings were ambivalent about this, but if you think about it, apart from a bigger screen which I can understand, what else do you want?

A thicker phone?
Worse battery?
A faster processor?
Faster wireless?

I can't really think of much that's actually feasible or available. Given the current tech, I think Apple have done well today.

It looks amazing, i really don't know what the hell people are complaining about.

None of these are reasons to buy a new phone, though.

A new style doesn't warrant an upgrade.

Faster specs are nice, but most of us don't use applications on phones that demand it (like people who upgrade their desktops regularly do).

LTE is a catch-up to the rest of the market.

The camera's nice.

Apple hasn't done anything new with the iPhone hardware or taken any risks since the iPhone 4, which was another leapfrog.

DId you not figure out how to create a play list or something? Seriously.

Totally different feature. It's awesome they're finally adding the ability to queue up songs on the fly like that, I wish they had that feature in ipods.

Haha very true. But I think it might be a sign Apple have given up on Ping.

Cook announced that they were dumping Ping months ago.

The new Nano looks interesting. If I needed a standalone iPod for general use, I'd buy it.

The UPS guy is bringing my 6th gen model today, but that form-factor works better for the car.

It's all good, just not as good as Samsung phones. Nobody really cares for a super slim phone. Bigger battery would be a much smarter choice. Screen size and resolution are both smaller than what Android phones have (not to mention ridiculous black-boxing for a majority of apps). Camera is the same. The new camera features (like panorama)... Everybody has had them for quite a while. "pro level color accuracy"? Sure. How exactly do you calibrate you iPhone for that? Besides, even if it was true, nobody really cares for super color accuracy on such a small screen.

Actually, agree with the Lumia similarity. The could have done without the border, but it does accentuate the different colors.

I know I do, and given the pictures that were in some of the show your iTunes thread, there are quite a few people with more than 100GB. I am closing in on a Terebyte...that is just music!

Wow, i seriously underestimated that. I would say the average person doesnt have more than 10-15Gb.

omg r they serious with that UI on the Nano? the design of the device is awesome but that UI looks like something out of a Austin Powers Hipster movie

and why does the iPod Touch look better as the new iPhone?
