Nobody cares for a super slim phone? That's why Motorola's biggest seller is the RAZR line and why Samsung has attempted to keep the SIII relatively thin.

The camera is better. Just because they didn't add megapixels doesn't mean it isn't better. As for the screen, there's nothing magical about a 4.5" screen. Apple clearly values one-handed use, and that is difficult on an SIII (I've used one).

I don't necessarily agree with lilo, but people only care about thinness to a certain point. Past that, it's actually worse for the phone to be thinner. Do you really want a paper thin phone? An example is how lots of people say Samsung phones feel cheap because they're too light and don't feel substantive enough. Well either that or they're just extremely biased.

If they're making the iPhone thinner, it's harder to fit a better light sensor in there, which would have to be bigger. It's not about MP, it is about how much light the sensor can capture.

Can someone explain to me the point of an iPod touch? Why not just get an iPhone?

Is this the most pointless product Apple make?

Because some people may want something just to play music and don't want to replace their phone and get tied to a 2 year contract. It isn't for me and may not be for you, but it is a product for some people. That is why you have a whole line of products - different ones for different people.

I find the "I would never use that so why it is there" attitude annoying. Somebody probably would use that feature even if you wouldn't.

The iPod nanos look ****ing hideous- especially that new gaudy UI with those colors. The back of the iPod touch leaves something to be desired in my opinion as well. Preferred the stainless steel as it is more durable than the aluminum. Brushed stainless steel would have been a nice alternative. Oh well. But those nanos... ugh.

The first ''new'' design Steve didn't oversee. Those icons... so hideous.

LTE is enough for me to upgrade. I have LTE on my iPad and it makes a huge difference to me.

Yea unfortunately I'm on ATT and there is no LTE here so it's a non-feature for me. I was planning on switching to verizon, I have one phone I would need to pay an ETF on. Verizon has LTE in my area and it rocks.

If I like or can live with the larger phone I will probably wait until my contract is up and switch to verizon on the iphone 5. However I don't see enough difference here to pay my ETF and ditch my two 4s's.

All I'm saying this is the first iphone out of all of them that I won't order the day it drops. It's possible when I see it in person I will like it so much that I'll want to get it ASAP, but not likely.

New touch design has impressed me more than the phone.. i'm not alone in saying that either. Twitter is full of people saying the touch looks nicer.

People don't know what they need a lot of the time. I'm sure 128GB would sell in similar quantities to 64GB does now just because it's the top model, people think of it as best, etc. Many people probably don't need the 64GB now but they still buy it anyway. It just makes sense for Apple to top out at 64GB since they have a higher margin product at the top end.

definitely true, people love to max out. 64G did account for 21% of 4S sales...just looked that up. Was kinda surprised.

oh look ! wasnt expecting the lanyard ! oh wait... i read something about it this morning... NOTHING IS SECRET ANYMORE !

My bad, I did not go through all the posts :)

That's ok. You know it takes several times (if at all possible) to make a point here that's not Pro-Apple in every sense of the word. I am sure there are many people here who will still say the iPhone is the thinnest in the world. You know. Without actually looking it up for themselves

Hahaha, I was right. I said that mysterious hole was for wrist strap. I was the only one that said it while everyone said it was for something else.
:D

Getting this new touch, good upgrade from the second generation ;)

SIRI is here on the touch and now it comes in colors.

So I've been following the Apple event and my question is whether iOS 6 will be on the iPhone 5 when they're available on 9/21, or whether the OS will be updated later. Did I just not pay enough attention?

Color you awesome. I doubt you're the only one who thought it. Google suggests your thoughts were on par with others.

Nice job on the Nano though, pretty nice.
