WTH happened to the Classic update, isn't that considerend an iPod?

I wouldn't be surprised if it disappeared from the online store following the keynote.

Some awesome announcements, but a $100 price increase on the new iPod touch? What a load of garbage. If they were going to keep the old iPod touch around, they should have dropped the price to $150. So we can pay the same price for last years model (with a little more memory) or $100 more for the new one. Ugh. And no GPS either.

Almost 1.5 years to work on the phone and they can't come up with something even slightly better than Galaxy S II, which has been out for months now. Such a shame...

If they didn't hype this damn this up so much we wouldn't be let down.

Wow HUGE fail! I can't believe that Sprint was dumb enough to pay Apple $20b for that POS. Nexus Prime will destroy it.

I know it is said every year no matter what updates but in my mind this was the worst event I've ever seen for the iPods & iPhones.

No capacity updates. No hardware changes for any of the iPods. Processor/Camera updates for the iPhone.

From a hardware stand point nothing but the iPhone has changed and even little there. A5 was already in the iPad so its nothing new.

In September 2010, Steve Jobs brought the worst updates ever to the iPod line.

OMG is this a boring event

It's a concern that Apple thought such an insignificant update to their product line needed an event.

Started off good, then got boring. Maybe we overhyped this new iPad.

No quad core CPU
No 128GB option
No Siri
No haptic display
16GB still base

So that was... underwhelming.

Thanks Apple, you pushed the boundaries forward now you're getting overtaken yourself. One might have thought you'd learned from past mistakes but transparently not.

My early 2008 MBP: 2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB = £1470
The new MBP: 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB = £1499

So, £29 more for 0.1GHz less, a cheap-looking, dated chiclet keyboard, no matte screen option, no FW400, no DVI output without a £30 adaptor and a design that's exactly the same as the cheaper MacBook.

I'm glad I didn't wait!

But I think the new Mac Book Pros are ****. What the **** were they thinking when they made that? I have the typical complaints about them, but it's seriously frickin stupid. There's nothing PRO about them.

The new 24" screen looks pretty cool IMO. It would match my iMac REALLY well and I was really looking onto getting one until... oops, they **** that up too. So I HAVE to buy this new, ugly, useless product JUST to use the cool new monitor? Stupid.

Wow, extremely disappointed that there's no MVNO. Talk about a letdown.

If all that's going to be released today is the iPhone and the Apple TV then in my opinion this was a waste of a keynote, and nothing new is going to be available today.

I would have LOVED this phone if it would have been 3G!!! But EDGE only? Definitely not worth the money. And what happened to computers?

The thing that erks me the most though is that this is called MACWORLD. There was no MAC item at all today. The APPLEtv is just an extension of the iPod line, hence the product being placed in the iPod Store on Apple.com.

We didn't even get iLife updated today.....

Ok everyone, lets recap what we talked about today!

First, we showed you a really tiny new turd, then a medium sized turd and a redesigned large turd.

Then we showed you a smaller version of a previous turd.

This is the worst keynote of all time. iPhone 3GS upgrade for 400/500 dollars on top of the monthly plan that charges as though its subsidized? AT&T never ceases to amaze me.

I will get told to go buy a Dell, I'm sure, but I will say this anyway: Worst. Update. Ever.

No matter what marketing lingo Apple throws out there this was still a primarily cosmetic update. The only backside update to this is the graphics, and the FSB (with the switch to DDR3 accompanying it predictably).

Boring so far.

-> Still no trial apps.

-> Typical lame Apple battery excuse for no multitasking, by using an unnamed, and no doubt worst case, application.

-> Using Google maps API in apps. That's always been possible.

-> Core location. Ditto. So what if they include a library for direction math.

-> Push notification. Still leaving out the details, I see.

BUt of course, they use Valley Girl phrases like "awesome" and "amazing", because people eat it up.

Wow this keynote sucked! Apple sucks! The MacBook Air is useless as a computer!! Lion - GROWL - weak! I wanted 10-core processors! 512 GB ram! Hey, what is the Facetime ************? Professionals don't want that? Where's my professional computer? Why do they still make iPads? No one uses an iPhone where is the new $15k towers with 100" monitors we were promised?

Why does Steve look so bad? What wit his face? And his outfit will it ever change?

this was the lamest iphone event in history, the iPhone 4S is a joke.
siri is just useful when you are driving a car, just kiddies are exited about the 7x faster graphics, 95% don't give a *** about the graphics, and a bit more pixels for the camera, hahaha I still can't believe how lame the upgrade is. I think apple never disappointed the people that hard.

Ugh. Now I dont know what to do. I was so excited; I even skipped class for the live blogging. Nothing.

Spec bump? Better camera? That's cool and all, but... ugh. And that's the thing, pre-orders are BEFORE Ice Cream Sandwich, so I HAVE to commit to buy if I want the thing relatively soon.

The new nanos could have easily been brought out with a splash page on the home page. The revised touch isn't even worth mentioning in anything other than one of the smaller news blocks at the bottom of Apple.com and software 2.1 is a given.

And what reason is there to be anything less than underwhelms? When Apple promises a major event, and only succeeds in delivering a few new colors... whining IS appropriate.

The era is finally over. The mac, as far as creating pro content, is dead. I'll be divesting my entire company's mac inventory as soon as my current rendering project is finished.

iPod touch is much much cheaper than the iPhone. So if the 3 wheel car costs 25% as much and gets to do everything you need from a 4 wheel car, then you buy the 3 wheel one.

The 3 wheeled car only goes 25 miles per hour (not a phone), and does 2 miles to the gallon (no internet access).

I'm literally in LOVE with that new iPod Nano design, sorry, I just can't even. I loved the Patient Apple made testing that style for the original iPhone (Tubed Aluminium and a Glass front) and I'm kinda thinking I want it and the Lumia now..? But the iPhone 5 design is cool too. Gah this didn't disappoint.
