so why couldnt they just release this in june?

im not disappointed theres only a 4s , but apple waiting 4 months for a spec bump is disappointing

Exactly. I'm on it, and it's good. $50/month unlimited talk/text. 2GB of 3G data, after that it supposedly slows down, but I've gone over every month since I've had it and noticed no diminution in speeds. Was planning to upgrade if it was something more than a 4S, but I'll wait.
 
This update is so lame. It's laughable.

I need to update my phone, but I'll just get the iPhone 4 at a cheaper price.

You might not think it juicy but this is a MEDIA event and who knows what they think about it. It might be juicy to them because it will get them hits when they post their write ups. Even something as 'lame' as the Windows 7 comparison can be made into a very juicy hit fodder article in the right hands.

I don't think it's THAT out of the iPhone 4's capability, and to be honest I thought the 4 might just have snuck in and got Siri to keep the 4/4S with something different from the old 3GS.

It'll be in iOS 5's plist, but you'll simply just copy over the N94 plist and copy it over your existing N90 plist. If it's hard coded into iOS 5 then it'll be no more difficult than turning on multi tasking on a 3G.

Because '4S' definitely complies with the number sequencing now right? It's pretty clear that apple is not prioritizing the number scheme like many of us thought.

For the first time in a long time, I'm actually pissed at Apple. For so many reasons. I know this is a free market and I'm free to purchase whatever device I want...

How is a 16GB 4 the same price as a 16GB 4s? Who is going to buy the 4? I have a 3GS with a cracked screen, so WTF am I to do?
 
I think now that the capacity is up to64GB is going to sell allot of phones. I would buy one just for the 64GB capacity alone. No other phone has that capacity.
 
$400 for a 64GB on contract? You can buy an unlocked phone for that price.. Who exactly will buy it?
 
No one more thing... damn i was expecting something to happen to the ipod classic.
