I'm sure the Watch will sell well enough amongst Fashionistas and Tech nerds, but it's hard to see Apple turning it into a mass-market product at these prices.

Tim and the game seriously need to learn how to rehearse a presentation. Every one of the presenters kept looking (not glancing) down at the prompter/presenter screen. Tim, John, Phil all sounded like robots and none of them had any passion or excitement in their voices.

Steve would never ...

That $10,000 watch is going to sell like crazy and the best thing is they will be able to sell an upgraded version to the same person again next year.

I thought my LG G Watch R was plenty expensive at $299 so Apple is going very bold and cocky on these prices. I'm sure people will charge up their credit cards and they will sell millions of them, but what an overpriced gadget.

Crazy high prices across the board.

Not even the Apple employees clapped when he announced the prices of the SS and apple edition watches.

I am fearing that. Unlike many others who have been running around like the sky is falling, I think almost all of the current hardware/software is pretty darn good. However, I think the watch is a mistake.

Yup, I think everything looks good - but the way they are presenting it has none of the old magic. The watch is a product that people are going to have to be convinced they need to have - the way Apple used to be able to do. I think these will sell, but I also think there is going to be a lot of snickering in the press roundups of this event.

The highlight of this event was the MacBook updates. Good job Apple.

The Apple Watch has to be some kind of joke.

yawn

Man. Those people were creaking getting out of their seats. "How long was I asleep?"

You guys are funny. There are people who will buy the gold watch. It's part of business, if you are confident in what you're selling, it will sell.

There probably will be a few, but at that price it is a pretty limited market that is more likely to go for a high quality traditional watch rather than buying a ridiculously overpriced wrist computer that is going to only be worth the scrap gold value in a couple years.

Same. Infact I am more excited over the potential 15" MBP skylake update later in the year now, with the potential new trackpad and keyboard, and faster storage. Apple are doing some nice work.

That Watch on the other hand, now I am more convinced than ever that it is a gimmick product. But I am sure it will sell, but perhaps not as well as I first thought it will sell.

1000+ for a stainelss steel... do they even know what kind of a great watch you can get for that amount of money?

So many thought it would be just APple watch - and we get the New Macbook, updated Airs, Macbooks Pros, Research Kit and people are still whining :rolleyes:

It's up to the Apple loyalists to make this a success. This was a lame Keynote. The audience sure didn't have the enthusiasm today that they did at the original announcement.

Original announcement, when they ran the first video the people cheered because nobody had any clue about the watch.

Then Kevin took the stage and there was silence and boredom as well as today.

I don't see much difference between the reactions of people 6 months ago and today.

I think the watch is a lame product for now, and I don't blame anyone to not cheer about it as much as they did for research kit.
