Why? Macbook Air was smaller? No. It was lighter and thinner.

To me Air=11"+13" screens(smaller). Pro=13"+15"(bigger). I think if they renamed the iPad to iPad Pro it would have gotten a better reaction than Air, just look at everyone's reaction here on the forums. Everyone's confused.

That was true in the past, when you had to get a gaming card for gaming, and a pro card for editing. These days I get the impression that GPUs have homogenized a bit, and the only difference between the two is that pro cards generally have more ram and stream processors on them.

A pro card be about as good at gaming as the generation line it's based off of, though getting one just for gaming would be WAY overkill. You wouldn't be getting a lot of bang for your buck there.
The drivers still seem to be a bit less 'optimized' for gaming, especially game specific bugs. At least such is the case with the workstation card on my laptop. I'm sure the gap has narrowed though and they are still great cards for all purposes. I'm speaking of nvidia. I've been away from ati for a few years.

Only A7 chip and still 802.11n wireless. I would have thought it would get AC and a jacked up processor. Oh well.

What, twice the processing rate and twice the antennas (i.e. doubled bandwidth) isn't enough for you?

I'm as big a fan an Apple as any, but WHY would you get the iPad 2 over the mini with these new specs?
