this seems like a big misstep. The air should of stepped it up. I really wanted one and a keyboard case with precision pen.

Lastly, announce an iPad mini Pro (with a better thought out name, hopefully). It will have all the bells and whistles just announced on the iPhone 5S. Retina display; Touch ID; 64 bit A7(x?) chip, camera if necessary (although taking photos on an iPad is stupid ) for $429.

Yes, retina mini. I was worried it wouldn't happen. That iPad Air looks nice. But my iPad 3 will suffice for another year and I will get a Mini for subway commuting.

No finger print scanning on the iPad? What a disappointment. I was stuck between buying the iPad or a Gibson les Paul. This made my decision much easier now.

I just really want to know what the RAM specs will be for the iPad Air and the Mini 2. Why is it important? Because it determines how many iOS updates I'll get over the next several years. 1GB goes back to the 3rd gen. I feel like that might not be enough or make things lag/crash after a couple years. Just like the 512MB on my iPad 2 lags on iOS 7. Thoughts?

I really hope there will be a new Thunderbolt display as a silent update. Been waiting a year to upgrade my display. No way am I buying the current one.

Shouldn't it be the iPad 4 for $399 now? What the heck are they doing still selling the iPad 2 for that ridiculous price point? Does the iPad 2 have any updated internals? That's a 2011, a 2.5 year-old device... for $399.
