Like Joanna Stern says, where was this product 4 years ago? And something called the Air is heavier than its brother the MacBook.

And the woman doing this video sounds like a robot, they should leave the videos to Jony.

100% recycled aluminum. I wonder how the strength of this will measure up to non-recycled aluminum. Last time Apple played with metallurgy, we got Bendgate on the iPhone 6(+)--which is real.

I can’t believe they did this but ruined a formerly bulletproof reliable computer with that horrendous keyboard.

They were so close here. Such a shame.

Ya know, I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume they've learned form all the mistakes on the MacBook lines and this one will be a synergy model that achieve product harmony model. Fingers crossed. :)

Next thing Apple will do is make anything containing carbon (plastics) out of carbon sequestration sourced material.

Seems I‘m the only one who loves the butterfly keyboards much more than the previous ones. I can type really fast on them and they are super responsive. And it never broke for me or for anyone else in my company where we use more than hundred 2017/2018 MacBook Pro‘s. This new MBA seems to be an easy buy for everyone looking for a mid-class Mac.

I think they've missed the point completely.

The 12 inch MacBook was probably meant to replace the Air, but people have continued to buy the Air as it was a great all rounder (USB-A, Magsafe, reasonable price, old keyboard etc). They've now removed all of that.

And wait until “normal users” get a croissant crumb near this thing on week 1

If this new MacBook Air is priced at 999$, it sells like bread & butter?
edit: meh.. it starts at $1199.

They still didn't show that side where there should be 3.5mm Jack, it's not there I'm telling you
