This guy has an annoying way of speaking with his dramatic pauses. Keeps saying "wait for it" "Here it comes!" "Get this" "Believe it or not....(dramatic pause)"

I'll stick with my 2014-era Macbook Air. The new one is just disappointing from a legacy port standpoint. I'm sure it's leagues faster, but meh.

I'm going to put it out there, they may just pull out a new wireless keyboard with TouchID in it....

Like Joanna Stern says, where was this product 4 years ago? And something called the Air is heavier than its brother the MacBook.

And the woman doing this video sounds like a robot, they should leave the videos to Jony.

Thought it was Siri’s little sister.

1199...

honestly... until I do some good old fashioned spreadsheeting, This doesn't seem like all that unreasonable of an update.

it's one of the only times you might hear me say that an increase in price matches the increase in updates to a machine. a high res screen does cost more than a lower res one. plus the addition on TouchID is new to the Air lineup. both of these as an update from the old air is not bad for $1200.

the problem will lie in what's the purpose of the MacBook then. especially at $1350...

i'd be bitching about that price if they were still using a < 1080p display while raising the price. But at least here, there's a tangible increase in technology for once

It's expensive for basically the same spec as the 2013 with an updated CPU and retina display, which the MBA should have had 5 years ago.
