Goodness my perfect iPad would have been the A12 + USB+C + new pencil/charging in the 10.5 enclosure. Imagine the battery life.

So the Macbook Air and MacMini are literately built from the leftover shavings from the iPad. This is so very telling of modern Apple.

The 2014 Mac Mini had the same hardware as the 2014 MacBook Air.

The 2018 MacBook Air has a Barbie processor with Barbie performance.

The 2018 Mac Mini now has serious performance from the base model. Plus it comes with an SSD standard.

Apple is simply moving away from basic hardware configs (with price increases to match). It's not simply Apple-inflation (though it plays a part)

The price of the new MBA is outrageous in light of the new Mac Mini. I still won't touch an Apple laptop with their new keyboards. Failures are still occurring. I may just have to go to a Windows laptop and stay with a Mac Mini for the rest of my Mac apps.

11” starts at $799 with 64GB. 12.9” starts at $999 with 64GB. iPad mini 4 hangs around.

We don't know the CPU class on the CPU yet. SSD is standard now, in 2014, it wasn't. You have to adjust for modern hardware.
