In four years the base price of the Mac Mini went up 60%. That's an annualized 12.5% in an industry that's deflationary during a time of near zero inflation (if we believe the fed). Its nice that this machine has increased capabilities at the top end, but the bottom end is the same or worse relative to its time.

The base Mac Mini is 235% more expensive than it was in 2005.

A $15k automobile would now cost $35k according to Apple's staggering inflation.

No Jony videos today. Looks like they’re trying something different with this iPad Pro video. I like it. The Ive videos were getting a bit old.

Tim: "One more thing: We discontinued the iMac. We have to admit, All in ones were a mistake. They produce to much waste. It makes no sense, to throw away so many displays. Say goodbye after 20 years ... here is a video..."

I believe he mentioned SODIMM RAM, so that suggests user upgradability to 64GB.

The SSD will be fixed though given the T2. That limitation is balanced to a large extent with the four TB3 ports though -- add a TB3 NVMe SSD with likely very little speed impact vs internal. https://www.anandtech.com/show/13276/the-samsung-portable-ssd-x5-review-thunderbolt-3-and-nvme-/2

Unless you're giving this to a kid or grandma that only checks email twice a week, how is 128GB on a boot drive enough these days without being utterly reliant on external storage? Its a ridiculous cost cutting measure on a device that's not cheap.
