I just think it's silly to dislike Cook's leadership because he's not somebody else. It's simply unrealistic and unfair.

Now, if you want to hold Jony Ive more accountable, that's another discussion...but I find it absurd to be angry that a logistics expert isn't an interface visionary.

So did Apple implement a truly lossless wireless audio technology? There was zero mention of this, so I suspect it's a definite downgrade from wired in-ear monitors.

Wish Apple would just add AptX protocol to bluetooth on iOS. It's capable of lossless audio if you have sufficient bandwidth, and even when it's lossy it's still a lot better than the basic stereo profile.

Strangely Apple does include AptX for OS X and have done so for years. So they are certainly aware of it and willing to include it in their computers, but not their mobile devices.

ohhh well - over to the Sony event...

I would have upgraded if it still had the audio jack. My phone is glorified iPod Touch, I have multiple headphones, and no I will not get a clumsy adapter. And always hated the quality of the sound and even the confort of all Apple headphones. They didn't even mention anything about the most important thing about the new AirPod headphones, which is sound quality.

Well... That was disappointing. I was interested in the Watch, but I don't really like the direction they're going with the iPhone.

I don't think people dislike Tim Cook for not being Steve Jobs. I think they dislike him because he's absolutely out of his element. As you said, he's the logistics guy, not the face of a company.

You do understand USB-C came after Lightning and Lightning is still a fine port. I prefer lightning over USB C but when it comes to USB-C / Thunderbolt 3, then I would rather have that in my computers.
