"Courage, the courage to move on"...

no... COWARDICE... the cowardice to not stand up to Ive and Dre. This isn't about a magical experience, or improvement for customers... this is 1000% about selling wireless Beats products. DON'T tell me about "Apple and the Floppy Disk". The floppy was already obsolete when Apple removed it.
Headphone jacks are FAR from obsolete. There is a reason that the 3.5" jack has survived since THE 80's!!! Those Airbuds are going get lost 4 times a day, and not be charged when you want them... but... BEATS !!! Apple cares more about Dre than it's customers. Apple has now fixed another things that was not broken. That's not innovation, it's money grubbing. The winner here is clear... Beats and Samsung.

"back when Apple was a computer company...." Eddie Cue - 2016

bahahaha sucks to be you!

It appears that the AirPods will not be able to skip forward and back without requesting it from Siri. That makes listening to podcasts or audio books a serious PITA. I guess I'll stick with my LG bluetooth headphones.

ceramic is 1249 with a sport band

preorder 9th and ship on the 16
Lol. Lol. Lol. ROFLMAO. They talk about its scratch resistance and how it won't tarnish. Give me a break. I was stupid enough to pay through the nose for stainless steel for its durability. It will become technologically obsolete before it loses its looks. I'm gonna get the cheapest one they've got that I can wear into the pool.

I was hoping for ... There Is One More Thing ... iPhone 7 Pro with seamless dual SIM and couple of thrilling features for Pro/Enterprise users :) like USB-C. MacBook Pro will probably show up quietly soon as an upgrade.

U'hm - USB-C is an enterprise connection? Wrong.

Apple & Enterprise? Pahahahahaha. Nice, that's hilarious.

A consumer talking about a consumer based company on Enterprise products.

Apple is a fart in the wind on ANYTHING Enterprise. Their data farms? All HP, I guarantee it.

Anyhow, shockingly, awful, terrible keynote - & ending with some pop star singing on stage? Seriously; what the f***!?

Apple are done.

i was thinking of getting the stainless steel with link bracelet this time around, you saying you didn't like the SS?

No bluetooth 5, sad, thought that was the big thing in this release, not another locked in standard that have to be included and making selection and wireless headphones worse and more expensive.

Anyone else pissed that the jet black doesn't come in 32gb? Seems like a blatant money grab. Holy ****, Apple, when does it stop?

Jet black is a much more involved production process. Selling jet blacks at the 32gb price probably isn't worth it.

These are the prices in Australia, for anyone in Australia here

Prices

7 plus
32gb $1268
128gb $1419
256gb $1569

7
32gb $1079
128gb $1229
256gb $1379

Here's the thing folks... the headphone jack is GONE FOREVER from Apple products from today forward. FOREVER. If you still want that jack, either use the adapter or buy Android. But I can promise you that most Android phones will also get rid of it over the next year or two as well.

Reminds me of Apple getting rid of CD/DVD drives and going USB-only on the iMac. It sucks now, but eventually the world WILL change.

There will not be another Steve Jobs, and certainly not one succeeding the guy that died.

I just think it's silly to dislike Cook's leadership because he's not somebody else. It's simply unrealistic and unfair.

Now, if you want to hold Jony Ive more accountable, that's another discussion...but I find it absurd to be angry that a logistics expert isn't an interface visionary.

Agreed that it's unrealistic to expect a Steve Jobs clone, though I'm not sure many people here actually expect such a CEO.

But it is realistic to think a logistics maestro is not the best choice to run Apple. The company needs, no requires, a visionary leader. Not a Steve Jobs clone, but someone who has his or her own unique visionary outlook on the products.

Unfortunately it's rare for such a person to rise through the ranks of a large corporation. The bold creative genius businessmen are busy with their own nimble startups and they would chafe at the need to conform to Apple's culture and what is left of Jobs' product philosophy.

So guys! The watch 1 is basically water proof as well. I don't do laps in the pool but have taken it in many time. Also been to the sea and in a hot tub with my watch 1. No issues at all so far.

i am pissed that people think phones are that important, but not computers. 1984 is going to happen a few years later

Did they happen to mess up on the monthly prices listed on the screen? The screen they had up lists the iPhone 7 starting at $27/month. But when you go to the site, it says starting at $32/month.

Can't speak for Grumpymom, but while my SS has some fine scratches on it that I only notice when I put reading glasses on, it looks great, and Lord knows, I've crashed it into things, dropped it, even stepped on it once. It also has survived rinses, showers, and a couple of dunks in the pool. I'm definitely going either SS or ceramic (intrigued) this time - can't wait to play with it under water.

Stupid question - what about salt water? If you wear to beach, is that going to mess it up?

I want the ceramic and even got the "bosses" approval but there isn't a ceramic link and I think that a stainless steel link would look off on a ceramic watch.
