They're full of HP Proliant series servers. (I know a couple of people who work there.)I would place my bet on those data farms to be installed by IBM. No offense, just like a bit of irony every now and then.
Our data center in NC is not too far from Apple's.
IBM hasn't produced a decent rack server in years. They sucked back when I used to worked for them.
Back-plains on the blade servers had a high failure rate.
It was very hard for us to recommend our own servers when the competition was making a better, and cheaper, product.
IBM's hardware division, what's left of it anyway, is more of an after thought. They see themselves as a "services" company now.
