Here's the thing folks... the headphone jack is GONE FOREVER from Apple products from today forward. FOREVER. If you still want that jack, either use the adapter or buy Android. But I can promise you that most Android phones will also get rid of it over the next year or two as well.

Reminds me of Apple getting rid of CD/DVD drives and going USB-only on the iMac. It sucks now, but eventually the world WILL change.

MNN62_AV5

The new dock has a standard headphone jack, so hopefully this is just a one year thing and they come to their senses in 2017. I love my headphones.

Jet black is a much more involved production process. Selling jet blacks at the 32gb price probably isn't worth it.

Ok, but you get the jet black color and 4x the memory for only $100 more (I believe)... I say only $100, but people shouldn't have to buy more memory just to get the color.

same, I bought a £75.00 128GB Moto E android and offline download from my Google Play Music account - brand new unlocked, just for car use, but also spare backup phone (to my iphone 6).

You can get a split charger for 2 cables?
Annoying , but problem solved,

U'hm - USB-C is an enterprise connection? Wrong.

Apple & Enterprise? Pahahahahaha. Nice, that's hilarious.

A consumer talking about a consumer based company on Enterprise products.

Apple is a fart in the wind on ANYTHING Enterprise. Their data farms? All HP, I guarantee it.

Anyhow, shockingly, awful, terrible keynote - & ending with some pop star singing on stage? Seriously; what the f***!?

Apple are done.

I would place my bet on those data farms to be installed by IBM. No offense, just like a bit of irony every now and then.

The presentation and the new products were a bit off.
The apple watch does not seem to find the market yet. Who on earth will go hiking using a watch when the battery life is like 1 day? Guess you go for 2 days adventure and might never come back. And all this features and apps and games on a watch.. clearly not for me and not for any normal person i know. I wish they were focusing more on fitness rather that trying to convince us to wear a small iphone on the wrist.
And Nike... which was suppose to inspire people for a more healthy and sporty lifestyle decided that the fat guy (presenter) is a true model of fitness for all of us.

Agree with Enterprise, but I thought is IBM not HP. USB-C as I have MacBook and using it often as charging/Tethering. I know that HotSpot works and I'm using it, but sometimes I would like to use it as secret connection only with my MacBook and not all "activated" devices as hot spot. Trust me there are few around and what I don't like is that Apple doesn't limit App updates when on HotSpot.
Regarding Sia, no comments. Your F*** comment is completely understandable :). There is new Nick Cave, Massive Attack etc etc.

Uh, Tim Cook invited U2 a few years ago and people complained about getting a free U2 album.
Well I didn't complain about it, but I was pretty annoyed. First, I don't like or listen to U2. Second, they uploaded it to my iPad without my consent, and I don't want that to become a habit - I don't give a toss about Tim Cook's music preferences, and I surely don't want them on my devices. Third, initially I couldn't delete the bloody thing and it was an eyesore every time I opened the music app, reminding me of all of the above.

Assuming you are older(sorry) just like me (well maybe not that old. I am 64), we have to admit that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The new features etc. are nice, however they will still be there when I get my 8S.
By then there will be plenty of capacity to have black throughout the line.
No biggie anyway as I use a black case.

As for wireless vs. corded: It is hard to give up things one is accustomed to, especially when we have all these different devices that have the 3.5 mm connectors.

Rest assured that in a few months nobody is going to complain and in a year or so , wireless is the norm and corded will be hard to find.

The pain is softened by the bandaid adapters for now. Sticks and stones..., so any potshot doesn't matter and if that is how they feel, why not allow them to say so?

Just need to see a few reviews and try stuff at the store to see if earphones are worth $ 159.

Me thinks no, as I wreck stuff, lose things and just do not care about the quality of the sound for talk radio.

Sia doesn't do it for me either, except for one song, but then as one ages, music is not that important any more compare dto te
I just turned 50. I've got wireless earbuds and my husband Bluetooth noise cancellation headphones. Beats Studios, to be exact...for my 50th birthday. Since they are a gift I couldn't really render my opinion at home too loudly but both devices skip and stutter. My Beats Studios require charging but didn't even come with a charger! And the sound...I already described it in another post as the equivalent of trying to listen to your stereo system while sticking your head between leather sofa cushions. Muffled, drained of all nuance.

Meanwhile I have these old Sony earbuds that are about 15 years old, maybe older. I get great sound out of them. Never need charging and never skip or stutter. Because I was so pleased with the new camera upgrades, I can and would have been willing to use the adaptor so I could keep on using thembut...

Sticks and stones works fine if someone is calling me a name in my personal life. For a vendor who wants my business to insult a paying customer with such a condescending jibe...I am tired of Apple talking down to us. Like they are the leader and we have no minds of our own, no viable alternatives and must board their bandwagon. They have every right to say what they feel and I have every right to react to it.

I don't think it's reasonable or logical to make decisions out of protest or a fit of pique, but in this case I've never been more tempted. I've been trying Android and find it a viable alternative and still have my SE to cover for any newbie mistakes I have yet to make with my Android devices.

I actually like Sia's songs when performed by other artists and I think she's probably a nice lady but I can do without all that weird occultist depressing
imagery so many pop artists are into now.

I want the ceramic and even got the "bosses" approval but there isn't a ceramic link and I think that a stainless steel link would look off on a ceramic watch.

I agree - the ceramic would look weird with link bracelet.

I'm either doing ceramic or SS with the white sport band. I have a ton of bands (sport, leather, mesh and nylon), but somehow lost my white sport band.

This event didn't leave me feeling inspired to go out and purchase anything. Hopefully they up their game with some new displays and new Macs (especially the Mac Pro) in the Fall. I will likely just hold pat with iPhone 6 for now, but if a new display and/or Mac Pro is released, TAKE MY MONEY!!!

Agreed that it's unrealistic to expect a Steve Jobs clone, though I'm not sure many people here actually expect such a CEO.

But it is realistic to think a logistics maestro is not the best choice to run Apple. The company needs, no requires, a visionary leader. Not a Steve Jobs clone, but someone who has his or her own unique visionary outlook on the products.

Unfortunately it's rare for such a person to rise through the ranks of a large corporation. The bold creative genius businessmen are busy with their own nimble startups and they would chafe at the need to conform to Apple's culture and what is left of Jobs' product philosophy.

But Steve chose him. He was the best man in the moment, and Steve chose him and the Board of Directors approved it.

Apple are done.

"apple are done". seriously? Do you have any concept of the cash reserves and power of this company? They're nowhere near done.

Jesus...... The price in the UK is fecking ridiculous!!!!!

The price of the 32GB 4.7" is as much as a Note 7!!!!

Yeah, the 128GB 7 Plus model (since it's the only size that was available last year) is £30 more than the equivalent 128GB 6S Plus. These prices are getting effing ridiculous.

£719, £819, and £919 for the 7 Plus versions? Amazing how Apple's prices shoot up quickly when the pound is weak against the dollar, but when it's strong they take forever to come down.

i was thinking of getting the stainless steel with link bracelet this time around, you saying you didn't like the SS?
I love it but I paid too much for it. And it feels kind of heavy on my small wrist. I'm just not into paying premium for durability that I won't need, given that the longevity of the materials is greater than the longevity of the technology.

So guys! The watch 1 is basically water proof as well. I don't do laps in the pool but have taken it in many time. Also been to the sea and in a hot tub with my watch 1. No issues at all so far.
I suppose I could just swim with Watch 1 and if it fails, upgrade to watch 2. If it doesn't fail, I saved myself some money.

Erm, do you have any concept on the flow of business?

Cash reserves aside - if they do not sell enough devices to fuel their fantasy then those reserves will quickly swallow up.

Besides that - there is a good reason why those reserves are not being used.

Empires are built to fall - history has taught us this, many times over.

Don't compare Apples with iNo-Apples :)))

Or you could save yourself a lot of money and not buy one at all?

Consumerism at it's finest.

Listen; YOU ARE NO MORE COOLER, OR RESPECTED IF YOU OWN THIS DEVICE.

If you want to 'just swim' - you can still do it, without a an expensive electrical diode on your wrist.
