I'm in...

I really love my Fitbit Force, but this is nicer looking and does a zillion more things. I'm in. Just wish I didn't have to wait so long for it!

There is no way I will pay that amount of money

..for a phone with 1 gb of ram. What, obsolete in year maybe? And still 16 gb for the entry model? Are you f...g kidding me?
(I resent more and more being so invested in the apple eco system. Hope I get the audacity to break free)

The Moto is a premium watch, too. The pebble is a lower end one that sells for $150.

But it's priced aggressively because Moto is a struggling company that's been sold twice in three years. Apple isn't going for the Pebble crowd here. They are looking to upsell to iPhone customers and appeal to the fashion crowd. Hence they had fashion bloggers there. They are probably more interested in their opinion than on any tech blogger's right now.

A decade long collaboration with U2...except for that period when they got pissy about something and shilled for Blackberry.

In the past, the musical guests at these events made some sense, because Apple was debuting new iPods and iTunes features.

What's the point of this? The iPod didn't even warrant a mention in Tim's list of tentpole products for the company.

And Bono heard you....

You're being ridiculous:
....
Make the iPhone 'learn' what apps I use the most and move them to the first screen.

Are you so lazy you can't do that yourself?

Wow, way to demand less of the user experience!

You call him lazy about the apps. My nexus learns what apps I use the most in which circumstances (e.g at home, work, out and about) and automatically changes the shortcuts so they are on the front screen.

It's awesome, and I wish my iPhone did the same.

No GPS on the watch means no buy for me. I'm a runner and I absolutely hate running with an iphone. Thus, distance tracking wouldn't work which basically defeats the purpose. I'll wait for another iteration -- first adopters of new apple devices always get screwed anyways.

Even if it had GPS you'd still need an iPhone. It requires the phone to function.

WTF. Are they kidding with this watch?! Its basically a heart rate monitor and pedometer. Where are all the sensors everyone was expecting? Talk about disappointment. What the actual *****!

Best product pipeline my ass.

I guess you were sleeping during the presentation. Watch it on your Apple TV again tonight, a few times perhaps.

Starting at $349? It will not be flying of the shelf.

I'll wait for V2.

There will be lines for its release just like the iPhone or iPad. Huge lines...do you remember how expensive the first iPhone was (no subsidy) and how long those lines were?

iwatch is useful only for three things

As a watch (which is ugly)
Measure your heartbeats all the time. (freaky)
As a 24h always-in-touch-with-you notifier (give me moment Tim to relax!)

All other apps have no meaning, you can use your iPhone instead.

Everyone complaining about the price of the watch... you are hilarious.

1. It's not a watch. It's a computer. A highly-engineered one at that.
2. $350 is VERY affordable in the overall watch market. Hell, I have several watches in the $500-$3000 range.
3. People pay that much for iPads every day. Actually, at $350 it's one of the least expensive Apple products there is.
4. iPhones off contract are around $700.

Just because you've never paid more than $20 for a Timex in your life... that doesn't translate to this.

wifi?
sim?
gps?
can be used without a phone 1 foot away?

Nope.

Let's have a rock concert instead... ?!?!

Wow.

The products *WERE* the event in Jobs day.

Absolutely!!!

And U2 suck! 80's rock band. Meh!!!

Why not choose Coldplay instead? But yeh, a live band is beside the point. Give us the cool technology instead!!!
