Thank you Microsoft, for providing Apple the inspiration needed to rip off:

- New mission control in Mac OS El Capitan
- News app for iOS
- split screen multitasking for iPad

This is the worst year Apple has had in the last 10 years.. Easily.

So many disappointments.. And they all seem to revolve around trying to make MORE money and a shake down of its customers. Get the pink elephant off the stage.

So I just subscribed to Spotify Student for $4.99/month...

Also, wtf did they do to the music app? Please don't do this. I like iOS 9, but I will not upgrade if they make the music app look like this.

I'm a bit old-school, but I really prefer to own my music. I don't see the point of a subscription music service, other than to siphon off a bit more of my money.

"The truth is"... Internet radio is what is killing iTunes sales. I think Apple doing global radio is probably a complete misread of what is happening in the music industry.

Someone please talk me out of jumping ship and going with an Apple TV alternative. Didn't necessarily expect hardware today but at least some kind of software overhaul or, some talk about it. I keep not moving to another platform because I'm sure whatever Apple releases next is going to be awesome, I'll be kicking myself for not waiting, and I DO have a bunch of Apple DRM content that I'd no longer be able to play on my TV. But, seriously Apple...stop ignoring it! The interface on ATV is so PAINFULLY bad. I want something with a central search!

Sounds like iTunes Radio moving to Apple Music that only means one thing for iTunes Match customers they will get Apple Music.

Still not sure WTF this Apple Music is yet ... so can you pick songs that only YOU want to hear like Spotify? Or is it like Pandora? Or is it like both? I'm confused.

This so far. I get that its not over yet. My wife is watching the keynote with me. She's a big spotify user but isn't tech savvy. So far all she sees is a clone that doesn't explain why she would want to switch. I feel like they are rehashing iTunes Radio and not providing enough to explain why people really would want to switch.

when Steve J first introduced the iPhone he touted it as a device that had could play music, surf the web and communicate, and did that a few times until he finally announced the iPhone.
