Beats One, arguably the most baffling announcement from Apple, ever. And in the same breath they criticize algorithms and "playlist" radios, they tout Music's ability to deliver music YOU like (based on.... algorithms and playlists).

We already have a global radio station, Apple, thousands of them. They are all over the web, and they exist in the form of Sirius XM used by millions ever day. Imagine if Sirius was a single radio station... Oh, and now Drake is out on stage! I can't wait to hear his thoughts on Kardashian through connect, that's what music's all about, boy. 1 like for Drake.

I mean, what is the point?

I love Spotify and have for years, so no intention of switching anyway, but even if I considered it, I would refrain out of total spite for this announcement.

i still dont get it. is it just radio or can anything from the itunes store library be played? they talk so much but nothing makes sense

I pretty much stopped paying attention when they started talking about WatchOS. "One More Thing" had me for a moment, but nope.

Difference in the intensity of clapping was obvious. When they were talking about the multi-tasking, iOS 9, and swift; everyone was clapping and cheering. Now, especially after the watch OS presentation, it's cringe worthy to watch.

Really, the watch has gotten keynote time at every keynote for a year. It's boring now, and not many people use the Apple Watch.

This UI looks incredibly bad and bloated. I hate massive album covers that block useful elements.

Seems like they want to blur the line between the music you own and the music you stream. It ultimately seems like a ploy at the end of the day to get you to repurchase music.

Music today all sucks. The best music is from the 80's and early 90's.

You need to dive in a little deeper. Every decade has terrible music and every decade has +fantastic+ music - I'm listening to some recent/new[er] stuff that's outstanding and as good as anything I've heard (and I grew up in the 80s/90s). :)

Someone please talk me out of jumping ship and going with an Apple TV alternative. Didn't necessarily expect hardware today but at least some kind of software overhaul or, some talk about it. I keep not moving to another platform because I'm sure whatever Apple releases next is going to be awesome, I'll be kicking myself for not waiting, and I DO have a bunch of Apple DRM content that I'd no longer be able to play on my TV. But, seriously Apple...stop ignoring it! The interface on ATV is so PAINFULLY bad. I want something with a central search!

Exactly! If this is a software event, why not an update to ATV2?

Can reply to email directly from watch. FaceTime audio too.
FaceTime Audio ? Can't we already take and make calls ? What's the difference ?

FaceTime Audio makes as much sense as Television Audio, why bother ? The whole idea behind FaceTime is to see who you're talking to. FaceTime audio is just phone calls, same thing we can do already.

The only thing in this that really interests me is iOS9. The search function at last might go back more than a year, that’s my biggest bugbear.
That aside for everybody else I think that the competition have some serious trouble on their hands.

Ok, I want to see lyrics overlaid over the player screen for every song so I can sing along. Have tried apps for this and they only have some songs and Shazam sometimes does it and sometimes doesn't.
