only thing i want from the 10.5 ipad pro is for apple to double the physical ram, so when i switch tabs in safari it doesnt auto refresh. that's the only thing i want.

Nah, just a speed-bump. It's a mature product, but still very popular. Apple won't be doing any changes that require a significant motherboard redesign. I'm pleased Apple is giving it any attention at all. It's a useful product for certain members of my family, and I intend to buy another one.

That's what I meant. Just a faster Haswell (no Skylake or Kaby Lake).

HDR support is nice... when I bought my TV last year it felt very bleeding-edge, seems like this year it'll be everywhere.

isn't 600 nits on the low end for HDR?

It's technically* not HDR, since true HDR is 1000+ nits.

*for LCD. It's a little different for OLED, since the black end of the contrast equation is infinite, so the lesser nits for 'whitest whites' aren't as perceptible in real life practice.

It's a STARTING AT $5k iMac! Actually starting at $5450 when you factor in tax. Add at least another $200 for AppleCare. More like $6-7k iMacs with real world configurations.
