Ridonkulous pricing from apple. $4999 for a computer that you can never upgrade. Once it dies after your 2 year warranty, that's it.

Let me buy a Threadripper cpu, throw in some SLI GPU's, get 64GB RAM, and some SSD's and I won't hit $5k plus it will last me years. Windows 10 sure, so what!? MacOS isn't worth this kind of premium.

Then go ahead and do it.

To each their own, as the saying goes.

It's a STARTING AT $5k iMac! Actually starting at $5450 when you factor in tax. Add at least another $200 for AppleCare. More like $6-7k iMacs with real world configurations.

Yep, nobody will be buying these. They'll sell a couple thousand. You can buy a new car for not much more.

Nah, just a speed-bump. It's a mature product, but still very popular. Apple won't be doing any changes that require a significant motherboard redesign. I'm pleased Apple is giving it any attention at all. It's a useful product for certain members of my family, and I intend to buy another one.

With the price drop on the 13" nTB MBP the Air should really be dropped. It's legacy tech by this point.

Why are you protecting Apple? I used to be like you, just be satisfied with whatever they release, not anymore...this is just disappointing and I'm a BIG apple fan.
What's disappointing? The iMacs weren't expected, nor was the iMac Pro. The iPad update was as expected. What were you expecting that they didn't release?

I feel like "same 10 hour battery" is a given, did it need saying?
