I can't wait to see what kind of apps come out. I've been waiting for this day since I got my iPhone in September.
The only app I'm really hoping for is iChat Mobile or something. I'm starting to get sick of Apollo. Even if iChat is WiFi only, it's got to be better than Apollo.
I'm content with my 4GB but if a family member were wanting to jump into my plan (or my significant other) I'd let them buy the 4GB from me and get a 8GB or 16GB if there were in fact a price drop.

Well perhaps that was a bit premature? This points to being a Beta release of the SDK *the actual apps may take a while to catch up.
If you're not a developer the release of the SDK won't change anything for you.
If this is beta I'm guessing it'll be released to ADC Select members like other betas.. so if you want it early it's a $500 cost to sign up, otherwise wait until release date.

Funny, I hit check for updates while syncing the phone a few minutes ago. It said currently up to date. It normally changes the date next for automatically check again like a week or two (at least I think) it gave will check again 03/07/08. hmmmmm
Same here. Mobile Preview would be a great start; I've been waiting for a PDF reader for the Phone/Touch for a long time.

You are correct.
After the SDK is released, the iPhone will continue to be locked and the only 3rd party apps you can run are the ones approved by Apple.
