I was with this until they started complaining about the DS/PSP. Apple - they are better gaming devices . Very poor show.

Well they are hardly "better" if someone who can afford an iPhone/iPod doesn't buy one.

So yes, in some ways, they are poor gaming devices.

I wouldn't buy one...

I'll say this much... I bet Sony are hating this. The PSP Go comes out in the next, what, couple of weeks? Same price as an iPod Touch (if not more actually... wait and see prices after the event I guess), no access to UMD games so the only legacy stuff people can use are downloaded games, more expensive software (at the moment anyway)... Suddenly the Touch looks very much like a valid competitor with the added bonus of being, well, an iPod. Not to mention all the apps that AREN'T games.

Really?

If I wanted a serious gaming experience I wouldn't touch the iPod with a ten foot pole. But if I wanted to play some fun games on the bus ride home from school then it would be the perfect option.

I really wish they would quit this stupid game app thingy. No one cares expect those 14 year old kids who skipped school just to see the keynote.

also, the 14,000 or so apps for games? yeah only a small handfull are worth playing. The rest suck

Yes Sonys experiencing a bag of hurt at the moment. The high price of manufacture of the PS3 has cost them and wasn't the massive success they were hoping for and the online service cant compete with xbox live.

It wouldn't be an iPod event without 30 minutes of commercials, would it?

Talk about it - I'm yelling at my screen "get to the bloody point, I want my 64GB iPod Touch!"

Who cares that there are lots of applications; those who are interested can do some 'window shopping' at home; just announce the new products already! and get the damn iTunes 9 downloads working already!

Beatles. It seemed like too much of a coincidence to me having an event not on a Tuesday just when the remastered library was being released and stuff...wishful thinking?

And I was fine with iTunes' interface before.

One thing I am glad Steve is ok :]

Well... there's still time for a "one more thing" ;)

I'm trying to decide whether they paid Apple to demonstrate or whether Apple paid them to fill up time.

Don't worry, you'll get your 64GB iPod touch :p

DS = little kids, age 5-13

PSP - teens- young adults.

iPod Tocuh - well, if i had a kid, I would never give my kid such a device.
