A color change isn't a redesign.

Black/Silver... looks like Dell.

The chin is still there.

It's not a thinner bezel - it's just a black area around the screen.

Boo.

Oh well? Come on. Really. Doesn't the blackbook look like a Dell by this logic. You all got yourselves hyped up with what you wanted. Apple never said "no more chin" or "thinner bezel." You set yourself up for disappointment.
.

If it has new iPhone integration that should mean there is an iPhone software update soon right? Didn't he say something about a new option on photos in iPhone?

Honest to God, I'm getting SO effing tired of hearing the word "iPhone"...

And it is thinner...

I apologies on the behalf of SlashGear team, we were unable to delivers the live cast properly due to some technical difficulties.

I'm happy about the new iMacs. The design isn't knocking my socks off, but it's fairly cool. Like... a new Honda Accord or something. Safely slick & predictable.

Ad-Sense on iWeb. Would be cool if I used iWeb... I suppose Google will mail you a check if you get enough hits...

Thanks for trying anyway - livecasting is a complicated thing and prone to failure. Better luck next time! :)

Doesn't the fact that it is called iLife 08 worry you?

I don't think it's much to worry about.

Look at car models. They always are a year ahead on those. I'm surprised I haven't seen a gazillion commercials promoting the '08 models yet.

Look at Holidays. They have Christmas stuff out before Holloween comes around it seems.

I don't think Apple would want to mark it iLife 07 when the year is already 2/3 of the way done. They want their upcoming products to feel fresh and new. And what better way to do that then to release a product that has the upcoming year in the title.

I know for one, I would have a sense of "older" product if the iLife was iLife 07 even though it was brand-spanking new.

There is a number pad. That's been pointed out in several posts.

i'm looking at the picture on engadget, and i'm not seeing it. i may have missed something...but still, this whole thing is a bit disappointing, at least IMO. others seem to share that opinion.

not trying to be snarky...i'm just sayin'.

Love that 1gig of memory on all models.

IMO the new iMac is ugly. I agree with the "white was better" sentiment.

And I really dislike the keyboard as well.

Oh well.

I agree with the look, I don't get why the apple logo is black... it should be like on the macbooks, how it is white and it lights up when on....
But I disagree with the keyboard, I think it is really cool, it looks and probably feels like the macbook pro keyboard, which allot of people were saying they wanted

Exactly what I'm thinking...

We're just spoiled. I haven't posted today but have been following Engadget and I'm glad to see a new iMac. I really like the casing although I wish we would get a total redesign just like from between the G4 to the G5. (Although they should have kept the G4 design)

I think we'll see a one more thing. Hopefully.

I didnt like the iMac, but its starting to grow on me. It doesnt look too bad. I wish they had got rid of the chin though...

iLife is ok, the big deal will be a new iWork with a spreadsheet. That'll be a nice finish. Especially if its compatible with XLS files.

That's the problem, I may end up doing just that. Don't want to, though. I'd rather have a Mac.

I'm the same way. So far, I haven't seen anything I can afford to buy. I know Apple has always been expensive. I was hoping though for a new low end Mac. But evidently not. I'm from the PC world but was really hoping to make the jump to the Mac world. But I refuse to pay those prices just to have a pretty monitor. Seems very superficial to me.
