Why would anyone worry about the YEAR NUMBER on iLife?

So what. What does it DOOOOooo?

This upgrade looks like doo so far. iWeb should be their focus, and they sort of just pranced about a little. Maybe the narcissists love their photos and movies, but that stuff is good to go already as is except for HD DVD.

Q_q

So much complaining. This update is really good. The iMac design was already ahead of it's time back in 2002. This new iMac is ultra slim and just as powerful as most desktops out there. Not to mention it looks slick.

If you don't like it, don't buy it? There's always those other computer companys.

A color change isn't a redesign.

Black/Silver... looks like Dell.

The chin is still there.

It's not a thinner bezel - it's just a black area around the screen.

Boo.

The chin has to be there its not possible to pack everything in a bezel without the chin.....at least not yet

It is DEFINATELY thinner

No keypad on the BT keyboard is a bad move. And that means I won't be buying one. I hope that is not the case. Maybe it is optional or something?

Nothing's been said about the mouse. I'm pretty upset, however, that the wireless keyboard doesn't offer a numeric keypad.

I like the new look for iMac, that black border will make it awesome for Media viewing. Like most tvs have a thin black border, makes the colors jump subtly.
WOOT ILife available today. Will it be included in new Mac osX? Doesn't make sense if they do, double purchase @_@.

Num Pad Gone?

Are there 2 new keyboard designs or just one?

Looks like the iMac shots show one with a num pad but other shots dont show it?

BT?

I'm very happy this nearly useless update of iLife is available today for a whopping $79 and not bundled with OSX. :p

New iWork

Look at the last three icons in the dock:

  • Keynote icon
  • Pages icon
  • 'Charts' icon?

The only thing I was hoping to hear today is that iWeb would do away with bloated inline style code.

Of course, that's probably not something they'd "announce" at an event like this. Maybe it will be better... We'll see.

Well if Apple sold OS X as software then it would be option. This is why people are frustrated. We like OS X, but the hardware selection is lousy... Cmon' you know that....

Steve Jobs said:
iLife ships free with all new Macs, starting today.

So this means, if you bought your Mac, or MBP last week, and it says it wont be shipped until tomorrow, it will come with iLife... (Said this because lots of people were worried about this, and if other updates announced today will be shipped with there new mac)

i'm looking at the picture on engadget, and i'm not seeing it. i may have missed something...but still, this whole thing is a bit disappointing, at least IMO. others seem to share that opinion.

not trying to be snarky...i'm just sayin'.

dude, look at the pics below. The screen cuts off the rest of the keyboard. I imaging the shot was panning out of the keyboard to show the whole thing but the guy took the pic before it had fully panned out. Hope that helps :)

I know I hate the Mighty mouse..

iLife has never been included in the OS boxed. It's always included with new computers though.
