Incredibly stressful these people are on stage. Obviously they can’t be themselves, and need to put up a ‘performance’. Presenting a lot that would be distractions for me.

Remembering Steve’s magical keynotes :)

Agreed. Overly stiff. Reading scripts. Likely being judged and rated. The one advantage SJ had was that he was the man; he did not have a boss to fire/demote him if he screwed up. (I know, he had a BoD. But it's not the same)

Last 7 wwdc’s, new hardware was announced in 2012 & 2017.

So you are saying they only announced hardware in 2012 & 2017!

That isn't an announcement or welcomed upgrade for everyone.

Yes, Steve definitely was the man :)
But Tim should be more relaxed then. He might be a bit more relaxed these days, and somewhat more then the others. But still he is stiff like a *%?#* And just as non-inspiring as he’d been all the time.
Working on Apple these days can’t be fun if they become like those puppets.

The MacBook and MacBook Pro have USB-3 ports, don't they?
Pros have dual purpose USB3/Thunderbolt, regular Macbooks don't have Thunderbolt chip and can only use plain USB3 (no access to PCI, no external GPUs)

I think it’s because those things should just be normal updates, and normal updates shouldn’t require a Broadway production to announce them. People applauding basic features in an auditorium is like giving your kid a medal for just showing up for school. The bar has been systematically lowered and it’s not just Apple.
Exactly! Big production for meojis and new stock app. So rediculous.

When speaking in front of millions, millions of people.
Not even every CEO does that!
You could do better?

I wouldn’t let anyone stress me like that.
Who knows I might do well.
Would take a chair and get me and the audience relaxed...:)

What do you mean? I can't ever recall an announcement or upgrade that was welcomed by absolutely everybody.

I thought I saw some youtuber cover the depth sensing camera and Animoji still worked. Can someone with an X confirm for me?

If so, seems like Apple could run this on the 8 and 7.

I know these aren't supposed to be deep dives but I wish there were a bit more depth to what was shown. There was more things for end users than for developers presented.

I regret not waiting for Kaby Lake. It’s had a much longer shelf life. I just had no idea they would refresh the 2016s just a few months later. I guess the core i9s will launch by the end of year.

I'd say i regret not buying it, but my 2012 also has 4 cores... been waiting so patiently for more than a year now.

Please don't say "Legos" ever again.... the plural of "Lego", is "Lego"

I completely agree...but I like the foundation this is laying for the future. With an ar headset, mixed play reality will be very very cool. But if you have to hold your phone infront of your face your hands aren't free to touch and move the real lego (Not LEGOS) whats the point of having the physical lego there if your hands aren't free to touch it... Might as well have a fully digital environment at this point.

OSX Mojave. Inspired by the desert. I think that's the most honest thing that's ever come out of Timmy's management team.

Desert:
- a dry, barren area of land, especially one covered with sand, that is characteristically desolate, waterless, and without vegetation.
- a situation or area considered dull and uninteresting
- synonyms: wasteland, wastes, wilderness, wilds, barren land;

Sums up the mac circa 2018 perfectly.

Probably have to have me a couple beers.

Is there anything short of Timmy and his merry band personally making a statement that you will accept as proof of anything?

Pretty much, yeah. I’m not going to assume they’re going to do something with such flimsy proof. Having the same toolkits is not proof of anything. I could bring up competing theories that are equally ********.
