Charging for the display stand is so Apple.

However given the breath of specs for the Mac Pro, I am not surprised at the base price. I cannot complain about that, unless I get turned into an ILM graphics witch. This machine is so beyond my needs and usage, I understand it.

When I am ready to upgrade next time, perhaps it will be an iMac Pro (drastically marked down of course) - and still way more than I'd ever need Mac-wise but...:p

I bet all this is going to be available only on new Apple hardware's because of Trump's tariffs thanks to Tim Apple.

Is anyone else considering switching to iPad OS and ditching the Mac or am I just insane?

I like the idea of the iPad Pro but as it seems to still lack mouse support, I would also have a Microsoft Surface Studio. But if they do bring mouse support to the iPad Pro then I’d be tempted to have that as the only device.
Obviously the iPad Pro is for me much more attainable then that and a 3 grand PC haha...
But I need a new computer setup, so I am looking into options.... including the iPad Pro.

Haha, "reality kit". Simulating reality on your computer. I think this was invented a few million years ago.

That project thing looks very much like that popular web-based project management thing ... dammit, I can't remember the name of it though. Slack? Maybe that's the one I'm thinking of.

Actually bang and Olufsen charges much more for their tv stands. They don’t come with the tv either.

YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS! PEOPLE OCCLUSION!

MacRumors wrote an article about Apple purchasing a company that I think is responsible for AR Kit's new people occlusion back in 2018:

Maybe I'm wrong, but from what I recall, the previous Pro Towers were much less cheese grater-y. They really owned the cheese grater-ness on this one.

You are correct. There were some solid elements on the front of the old one.
With the prices. My old machine is looking pretty good.
