These AR presentations are always so strange. They look good on-camera, however in real life literally none of it is real. You can only see it through the 5" window of your phone.

They are weird. And it has been something like four years of AR getting a moment in nearly every keynote (WWDC and iPhone launch). All for something which I believe is rarely used by customers. Outside of Pokemon Go, I've never seen AR used in real life as something that someone did on a regular basis. But Apple seems to think it is very important.

I can see myself buying an used mac pro when my Mac Mini gives out, hopefully more than 10 years from now.

Completely relieved that buying the display is now out of the question, mostly because of the price but also because of it's design. The design of the display looks like a "classic" Apple product which I think is cool, but I wouldn't want that thing on my desk honestly.

I thought the same thing, the tech is great, images on the display must be extraordinary. However, it seems to appear to be quite thick, it really would be too large for my work space. Still, one can always dream lol

Sorry Apple but I can still build a massively more powerful pro editing PC for 6000$. And way less ugly too.
Cool story bro

The fact of the matter is that the people that truly need these things will have them purchased by their employer.

Sony, Disney and the like will eat this up. I have a good friend that wrote and directed a very popular animated movie. He sent me a message a few minutes ago that he is all in.

Me? I’m happy with my Mini and MBP.

LOL, MacRumors on Swift UI: "The developers seem excited."

Yes, yes we are. Whatever it is, it probably can't be worse than trying to merge .XIB/.storyboard file change conflicts.

Waiting to see if my 2012 iMac is still supported for Catalina.

Can't speak for the iMac, but my 15" mid2012 Unibody MacBook Pro listed the 10.15 beta as available for download through Software Update. It's downloading right now ... 6.46GB.

Man, that monitor stand price. It's rare to receive a full groan from all the Apple fans at WWDC. They should have sold the monitor with a basic stand included in the price and then offered that rotating/swivel stand as a premium option. They probably wouldn't have made everyone cringe as bad. But to offer the only stand as a separate expense, and for $1000 at that, man, that was a bad mistake. That's like selling a BMW and then at the last minute saying, oh yeah, that price is just for the body. The wheels are an added, optional expense.

I'm sure there is going to be a lot of memes popping up about that stand.

I'm usually a snarky skeptic about these events but I gotta say, this year was one of the best in quite a few years. The new Mac Pro is a BEAST!!! But unless they create a version with a lower price, a $6K entry level machine is just too much for my personal computing needs. Time to look at a tricked out Mac Mini I guess...but going to wait until next year to see what the prices do.

They should have cut the iPhone 6s as well.
Maybe they will cut off the 6s and and 7 next year.
Yeah. I hoped they cut off 6s as well so that I did not need to upgrade to iOS 13. Well, now I have iPhone XS Max, kinda sad to not use iOS 13, which will 100% be supported.

Apple just
