They better not make it exclusive to Vodafone in the UK, that would be very dire. Hope its unlocked.

I like T-Mobile, so I guess I'm not going to be getting one anytime soon anyway :( (I think I still have another year on my contract anyway...). But what about the name 'Apple TV?' Lame. I liked the name 'TelePort' that someone here had suggested at one point.

which makes it less of a good deal. it will be released just as my current contract runs out so there will be plenty of time for me to deciding tho :p

MUCH less of a good deal - it'll be interesting to see how these sell. To the none-mac lover, Blackberry works just great.. and those can be had for $199 with contract.. they're going to see the $599 price tag and skip right over, I imagine.

I am hoping they will announce a Full-Screen Video Ipod that is 80gb Hard Drive based.. no gps/phone or internet, but has BlueTooth.

I think the price is very competitive for this type of hardware (unless the contract is very unattractive, I can't judge this). Keep in mind that this is also a lifestyle device.

All that and Apple ends up locking its customers into a two year contract. Seems like the only winner here is Cingular.

Sorry, but why spend millions of dollars in R&D to come up with a locked phone? I don't get it?

What a waste.

In the end, the other phone manufacturers will upgrade their phones and make them available to Sprint and the other carriers.

The iPod's beauty is that you can use it no matter what computer you use. The iPhone locks you into one carrier and a contract, to boot.

Big mistake.
