I guess thats all folks. Meyer is performing. Wow, an entire keynote dedicated to a phone. Certainly a first.

All that and Apple ends up locking its customers into a two year contract. Seems like the only winner here is Cingular.

Sorry, but why spend millions of dollars in R&D to come up with a locked phone? I don't get it?

What a waste.

In the end, the other phone manufacturers will upgrade their phones and make them available to Sprint and the other carriers.

The iPod's beauty is that you can use it no matter what computer you use. The iPhone locks you into one carrier and a contract, to boot.

Big mistake.

The iPod is locked into iTunes. You can't just use it with any computer. You have to play things Apple's way. It's almost always been a dictatorship. What's the difference with the phone?

They're trying to make sure there is a high quality experience available, just like with iPod. Unfortunately, Cingular has to be it for now.

SUCKS.

I think the Modbook announcement is going to be more interesting for me. I like computers not all in one super expensive phones. Ridiculous. Just sell of OS X pls so I can get some great hardware with this amazing software instead of old crappy expensive ****.

final prediction
1. no new iPod with similar feature as this phone in 6 months
2. this fabulous phone will have problem selling, too expensive

Why would the Apple store be offline if there wasn't anything to add to it?

I am very disappointed. Without a contract, this phone would cost the same as a Macbook. Furthermore, I really expected more to be announced than the iTV and an overpriced Appleberry.
