Apple tv has no market here until they actually make some video content available on iTunes, really. I do like the concept, personally however, I have no use for it right now. I think the market here will take a year or so to latch on, if not longer. Remember, broadcasters here have boycotted iTunes and set up their own services. (Channel 4, ITV and the BBC have versions launched or planned for some point this year.) What use is Apple TV without the content?
The phone is certainly impressive, I think it would be absurd to state otherwise. It will defiantly be priced out of my range when it hits the UK, particularly if they do partner with a network here. I choose my network, my phone doesn't do it for me by default. To be honest, my current phone, isn't even a smart phone, but does everything the iPhone claims to be revolutionary (Sony Ericsson), bar the WiFi and touch-screen so I've got to be objective and look past the glossy interface.
This is good for the mobile market. Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola will have to work harder, and make their phones better. Apple is good at innovating, and other companies are good at following and emulating, so I look forward to using versions of this or similar technology several years from now at a much reduced price when I'm in the market for such a device.
