I'm still on my grandfather AT&T unlimited plan.... I'm out of my contract and wondering if I should do the Next program, buy it outright, or a 2 year contract? Any suggestions?
Down for me as well. At first I thought it was a problem so I called AT&T but my upgrade is still available
If you can afford it get the apple program and buy it out right. Depending on the model you get you might be able to factor in Apple care plus for free
The Apple credit program doesn't excite me too much. There is no real benefit (other than Applecare) IMO over the AT&T next and it's more expensive. You also need to open a line of credit with Apple (whatever bank it is). Instead, AT&T just adds the next installment to my monthly bill.
I personally plan to buy the 64gb 6 for 649+tax. I already locked my quote for next worth at $390.50 and it's good until October 11. I'll try swappa once I have my phone in hand and see what pays out better. On swappa I plan to include a boat load of accessories such as battery cases and a Bluetooth speaker, may drive the price up some we shall see.
In previous years what was the time difference to get your phone the day it is released vs. a few days later....If you were 2 minutes late did you have to wait a significant amount of time for your phone?
So can anyone explain what this AT&T Grandfather Unlimited Data Plan is and how I can get it? Cuz it sounds pretty good! HAHA. I seriously don't know what this is.
Grandfathered means that these people had their unlimited data plan back when ATT offered it. If those people never upgraded just bought their phones out right then they don't lose their plan so they are "grandfathered" into the new phone. Meaning the plan transfers over. Unfortunately no one can get an unlimited plan from them anymore.
well, you either have it or you don't. Its from eras bygone. Some people may be willing to sell you their account for some monies... but it can't be had from AT&T directly...

The only time I've pre-ordered an Apple device is for the Apple watch and that was pretty hectic. I got lucky with my order, and managed to get it on day 1. Hope that's the case with the iPhone too.

Last year I used the apple app and I waited 25 minutes and mine was pushed back to the 2 week window but as it closer to launch day it got sooner and I received it day one. BUT it's all about the carrier and the color and GB size that you go with. Good luck tonight!

Do not worry, this is normal apple pre-launch of new item way of doing things. They turn off the store so as to not have it crash before release of the new item due to millions refreshing the page constantly. Once we reach close to the time of the pre-order it will come back up.
