anybody using hide clock mod lost their slience icon?

I did several mods and than suddenly I just notice I've lost my silence icon on the statusbar.

Things i've done lockinfo theme -> grupple theme -> clock hide -> mod the slider -> remove status notifier and replace with notifier -> mod the notifier icons.

I'm trying to pinpoint where exact the icon got lost. Atm this isn't such a big deal to warrant a restore but would be nice to get it back

I hope this helps out guys.:)

Dang, stole half my idea! ;)

I need to redo my iphone tonight (going to try purplera1n as with redsn0w my battery percentage meter is REALLY wonky, and cydia is a tad crashy), so I was going to write up a tutorial with images of how to go from a just jailbroken iphone to getting LockInfo working properly, since a lot of people seem to be having issue (not just here) and the threads out there on MacThemes with the info are just too frigging huge to work with.

Also, just to note to people here, in this section here:
// (remove the "//" if you want it to show up) "Clock",
"Weather",
"Mail",
"Calendar",
"Calls",
"Voicemail",
"SMS",
];

The order in which the items appear in that list are the order they will appear on the lock screen. I changed mine around a bit (still a work in progress):

Hey Hard-case, what theme are you using for your lockinfo screen? Or are those all just custom icons. I like the look of it, including the stuff at your top status bar as well.

Working fine for me.

If you can't get LockScreen Info + a LockScreen Info theme to work, you're most likely doing something wrong. The relevant links have already been posted here so I won't go into how to get everything set-up correctly...but it all works.

BTW, Intelliscreen might work great, but believe me when I say that it uses a tremendous amount of memory as well as draining your battery faster. If you use LockScreen Info + a relevant theme, you can configure pretty much everything, including how often to poll for things like email, rss feeds and whatnot. The memory footprint is also negligible. Intelliscreen caused me troubles in the past, and since I stopped using it, i've never had any reason to go back.

Why pay for something when there are other free options out there that don't consume memory + battery life + have more customizable features? Not to mention, because LSI + themes are all HTML/JS based, new features can be added in the future extremely easily.

I would love the custom.plist for that. If anyone knows how to do that, that would be awesome. Also, anyone knows of any guides for doing all this stuff. I am extremely new to this.

I finally got this theme to work. I was wondering how do I change the weather to my city and C to F

How do I get rid of the default SMS popup?

i'm trying to figure out an elegant way to do this as well.

iblacklist, irealsms (and the quick version) + intelliscreen can do this but not without hogging all the memory and making the phone buggy.

I have irealsmsquick, it has an option to turn off sms alert. It work however the screen no longer light up when i get a sms only the sound. Also when i unlock the phone the quickreply isn't there

Quick question, I have the whole thing working and it looks great, other than the fact I have the standard clock that Apple puts on there and the lockinfo one. I can't see anybody saying how they get the Apple one to go away. Anybody know off hand?

Cheers,
Wes

Look back at my post on page 4 where I show the config.js file and the changes I made in red. One of them is for this.

I'am still new this. I do not know how to use SSH. Is there step-by-step guide on how to use it?

Why must we install the theme for Lockinfo btw?

I just installed LockInfo from Cydia after adding the new source and I'm already getting missed calls, emails, etc. on my lockscreen.

Are people using the theme for the modification aspect? I think i'm golden with the default being used, other than my lockscreen background is a bit too bright, making the LockInfo text hard to read.

Changing the section text from center to left

I wanted to change the section header text from center to left, since I felt it looked better, and thought I'd post it as I'm sure someone else will want to do this too.

Using SSH navigate to the Gruppled theme folder - the same folder the config. js file can be found it.

Open the CSS folder

Open the "structure.css" file

Find this tag and 2 following lines:

Code:
.header {
height:18px;
line-height:18px;

Further down in that same tag you'll see
Code:
text-align:center;

Simply change "center" to "left"
Code:
text-align:left;

Upload the file and respring.

Done.

How do you enable news feed and twitter? Ive set them both up, but they are not showing on my LS

Can you help? :)

when i try to open the gruppled theme file so that i can edit it (like it says to do in the link to the macthemes2 site), cyberduck just keeps timing out...does anyone know why?

Hey Hard-case, what theme are you using for your lockinfo screen? Or are those all just custom icons. I like the look of it, including the stuff at your top status bar as well.

It's actually a hodgepodge of different things. The "core" of it is the Gruppled LockUI theme. I borrowed the lockscreen slider from the main GruppledArt Theme
which can be found here:
http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16794932
The slider icons are located under /Bundles/com.apple.TelephonyUI, you just grab these files:
bottmbarbkgndlock.png
bottombarknobgray_pressed.png
bottombarknobgray.png
bottombarknobgreen.png
bottombarknobred.png

The icons on the actual status entry bars I took from some of the iconsets here:
http://iphonetoolbox.com/category/icons/
I just resized them to IIRC 20x20 (they probably should be dropped down to 19x19 to fit better).
Those icons get placed in /Bundles/com.ashman.LockInfo/images. The main bar icon has an "h" at the end of the name, and the subheading icons have the straight name. For example, in my image the green SMS icon on the main bar is "smsh.png", whereas the white bubble is "sms.png"

The top bar comes mostly from stuff I grabbed from ModMyI. The signal strength bars are called "Red To Green Signal Bars", and can be found here:
http://www.modmyi.com/forums/downloads/signal-bars/14/red-green-signal-bars-117/
The WiFi icons (which I think needs a tweak to be a bit smaller) are called "Deep Blue RSS WiFi", and can be found here:
http://www.modmyi.com/forums/downloads/signal-bars/14/deep-blue-rss-wifi-18481/
The battery icons are called "Blue Battery", and can be found here:
http://www.modmyi.com/forums/downloads/other/15/blue-battery-title-bar-status-bar-header-24461/

The AT&T carrier logo is on Cydia as "AT&T Carrier Logo".
The 3G icon is also on Cydia as "3G Fireball Icon".

I'm still working on the mega guide idea.....trouble is I spent most of yesterday upgrading the HD on my MBP to a WD Scorpio Blue 500gb, and taking the old drive and tossing it into my PS3. Now that I've got that all taken care of I can finish working on the guide and the theme tweaks.

I ran into this, too. I found that if my phones screen locked, it would drop wifi and switch back to 3g. As soon as I unlocked it, it would jump back onto wifi and I was good to go.

Annoying.

nevermind. I got it work but mail/calendering is not showing

This might not necessarily be an error, depending on settings.

For example, with calendar it will be dependent on how far you're setting it to display events. If you're only viewing events over the next 2-3 days, but there are no events, by default you will not even have a calendar entry.

With email, if you have no new email, by default the email entry will not appear in the lock screen.

I believe this is controlled in the config.js file by the following section:
// Hide empty sections?
var hideEmptySections = true;

I have it set to true, and any headers with no relevant info are hidden. False should make the entries appear as just title bars with "Mail (0)"/"Calendar (0)"...

insomnia search for this in cydia. will keep wifi connection alive and keep other applications alive.

The Gruppled theme has to be on your iphone first. make sure WiFI is working on iPhone, check display, as Cyberduck works via Wifi.

My phone does this on lockscreen also. Maybe a power saving thing in 3.0 ??? As soon as you unlock it or touch lockscreen, WiFI fires up.
