I am almost positive there is a program on Cydia that allows you to disable cover art from showing on your lockscreen. Too lazy to look for it now though..:D

I never even thought to look there. I found nothing on Cydia (in the default sources plus the few I added) but did find it in the default sources for Icy. The name of the plugin is NoAA.

Thanks.

Frustrated

Can't get it to work. I admit it, I don't have a #%^& clue what I'm doing. I just get a black screen with an email notice on it. The js file didn't help either. BTW, in my phone, it's called lockinfo.js, not config.js. Help. Please.:mad:

Ok this may or may not help you but I had a bit of trouble getting this to work initially as well, as for some reason it was conflicting with a theme I had plus I only skimmed the directions (of course that was my own fault there).

But what got it all working was to install LockInfo, and a lockinfo theme (ie Gruppled LockInfo).

Make sure in Winterboard LockInfo is unchecked, and Gruppled LockInfo or whatever lockinfo theme you have is checked on.

Now the calender and everything should be showing, you will then want to modify the config.js file located in /Libary/Themes/Gruppled\ LockInfo.theme/Bundles/com.ashman.Lockinfo/ for any customizations that you may want to do to the lockscreen.

Also if you have another theme that you want to modify everything else on your iPhone, make sure you drag that theme to the top of the winterboard list (above Gruppled LockInfo and LockInfo at least) so that all the customizations work such as that themes or user selected background on the lockscreen).

Attached are 2 screens of my final theme setup.

Thanks Tag for the quick response. I just searched Cydia. I have LockInfo installed. I DON'T have Gruppled LockInfo. It doesn't even show up in search. I'm pretty sure I have the appropriate sources.

Ok yeah I forgot to mention Gruplled LockInfo isnt in a repository on Cydia that I know of. Maybe someone else can chime in on that one.

Here is what I did to get Gruppled LockInfo onto my iPhone...
There are probably easier ways but hey it is what I did so here you go...

1) Install openSSH on your iPhone (which I assume you already have on there)
2) Install wget on your iPhone
3) Install unzip on your iPhone

(all 3 above can be gotten on Cydia)

The page with this listed on macthemes is down but it is here http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16794932

Gruppled Lock Info's creators mediafile page is at http://www.mediafire.com/gruppler

the direct link is http://download558.mediafire.com/a42rjtr2domg/qzmziyzkwet/Gruppled+LockInfo.theme-0.9.5.2.zip

So on your iPhone, goto the directory /Library/Themes and type

A)wget http://download558.mediafire.com/a42rjtr2domg/qzmziyzkwet/Gruppled+LockInfo.theme-0.9.5.2.zip
B)unzip Gruppled+LockInfo.theme-0.9.5.2.zip
C)rm Gruppled+LockInfo.theme-0.9.5.2.zip

Now it is installed and go enable it from Winterboard.
Hopefully I didn't leave anything out.

And hey maybe you have a quicker way to get the files onto your iPhone so anyways at least the files needed are listed above. Good luck.

after tinkering with it all night I finally got it to work and display the way I want. Man this is 1000X better than intelliscreen. No lag miminal memory use so far.

I'm using the grupple theme, although it looks really nice its missing many of the plugin that the matte theme has like RSS, twitter, thingstodo etc.

Anybody know how i can implement it into the grupple theme?
I tried staight drag and drop into from matte into the grupple theme the individual plugin but understandably it won't work. Any ideas?

Thanks srl7741, I really like how it finally looks of course I'll probably just get bored of it in a week like I always do.

Great BearF16, I'm glad I could help you getting it up and running. And hopefully it will help anyone else still stuck, as LockInfo really is an awesome app to have and use.

Thanks Tag, Can you send me or post your config.js file, I cannot get mine to show the info for files with no contents, ie in your picture above it says (0) next to sms and mail and others. Also how do you change the slider.

Sure to this post I added my config.js file saved as a txt file for your perusal.

Basically you just need to set I believe...

Code:
// Hide empty sections?
var hideEmptySections = false;

As to the slider with the nice scrolling curling design around the unlock slider, it is part of a theme called iGlassSol which can be gotten on Cydia. If you want to use it as in my prior post stated, enable it along with Whatever LockInfo theme you have and move iGlassSol above it, and all should work out.

If you want to change the text as I have...

On your iPhone,

1)Goto /Library/Themes/
2)Create a folder called whatever you want, I chose 'robsiphone'
3)Inside this folder keep making folders exactly to create this path...
/Library/Themes/robsiphone/Bundles/com.apple.springboard/en.lproj/
4)Inside the folder en.lproj create a file called 'SpringBoard.strings'

Inside this SpringBoard.strings file copy the following into and save (dont forget to modify it to say what you want.)

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC>
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>AWAY_LOCK_LABEL</key>
<string>Rob's iPhone</string>
</dict>
</plist>

Once copied and saved, go to Winterboard and enable whatever you called this theme extension and viola all done.

Portsmouth, UK
You just need to use the location code "loccode" from the end of that URL.

instead of the UK120 that you inserted... use

EUR|UK|UK120|Portsmouth

Thanks, I used Portsmouth, UK in the end

Iam using 20second lockscreen atm, but once those 20secs are up the screen locks even if you have you finger on it-can you change this?

wait actually the slider is still the tap one that was there before, how do i overwrite my new one.

When you install iGlassSol or whatever other theme that has a slider unlocker, move it to the top of the Winterboard list so it is above all the screenlock apps such as Gruppled LockInfo and it should replace the tap unlock of Gruppled with iGlassSols slide unlocker.

You can just ssh the Gruppled folder into private/var/stash/themes, go to WB, enable Gruppled (not LockInfo) then restart.

Just a heads up for those of you who use the free alternative to Intelliscreen, LockInfo has been updated to work with 3.0. However some people are experiencing springboard crashes upon updating. To get the update, add http://david.ashman.com/beta/ to your Cydia sources and install "Lockscreen Info". If your SB crashes and you would like to help the author in trouble shooting the problem, please refer to page 49 of the following official LockInfo thead at MacThemes.

http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16794311&p=49

Here is also a thread detailing just the theme and how to configure your preferences for Winterboard.

Updated 7-10-09
Sorry for not keeping up with this thread, I posted it in passing, never thinking it would get so many responses.

Lockinfo 1.0.61 should be working now for everyone. The only problem I know of is that under the mail settings it displays two Gmail accounts if you have one. To get it to show up in Cydia, add http://david.ashman.com/beta/ to your sources. Additionally, add http://david.ashman.com/apt/ if you would like to hide the default lock screen clock and grey bar. Most lockinfo themes display info where the clock is normally so you should hide it. The image below is from the author, not me, so I cannot answer questions about why its a certain size to time/date. I just copied it from his thread over at Macthemes.com.

I have tested most of the Lockinfo themes and I prefer the Gruppled theme, which is displayed in the image below. The config.js file has a plethora of comments which allows for easy modification even for those of us that have no idea what a config.js file is. Following, is a link to Macthemes that describes the theme and how to customize it. http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16794932&p=1

To install the theme, you must SSH into your phone and add/configure the files that you will download from the thread. Again, the config.js file has detailed comments telling you how to configure this theme to display exactly what you want.
http://david.ashman.com/beta
http://david.ashman.com/apt

these two links are not working!

I will try to simplify the install:

Open cydia and add this source ( http://simonv.chronophoto.fr/cydia/ )
When done add http://david.ashman.com/apt (Lock Screen Hide App)

Once the repository updates install the base Lockmatte UI and any other of the plugins that you want (there are several)

Open winterboard and activate the new Lockmatte info Theme
Go to the iPhone Settings scroll down to Lockinfo and customize the way you like

You can always use SSH and copy the files off the iPhone and edit them all you want in order to change the App to your liking.

Hope that helps? I became confused after reading literally hundreds of pages from numerous threads. It's really pretty straight forward but it can become confusing if you read everything posted. Thanks again to hard-case.

I tried installing this and giving me a error. It tells me "the requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed:
