I had a similar experience and decided to return the camera. I'm hesitant on purchasing the Opal C1, they are still working on software improvements.
You have tested the Logitech 4K for Pro Display XDR and the quality of it was bad?

I will receive mine tomorrow. But for 240 EUR I expect really good quality.

I have to admit that I compared the image quality with my DSLR camera, which will obviously produce a much better image. But like @HiFiGuy528 mentioned in his excellent video, I was not impressed also with Logitech 4K Pro. I believe Opal C1 will produce a much better image quality, similar to DSLR. I will eventually buy the Opal C1, probably when they release a more modernized hardware version.

Although I’ve had/used the Logitech 4K Pro with both my XDR and Studio Display, if I had to do it all over again, I would just use my iPhone https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213244

The iPhone quality for video conferences/Teams is really remarkable. And the software interface is top notch. I got the Belkin Magsafe mount to attach it to the top of the display, couldn’t be happier.

The webcam just got in. I am using it with macOS Sonoma and it looks fine to me. I have tried the webcam in FaceTime and some online webcam testers with Safari. It indeed shows the 4K-resolution and looks razor-sharp to me. I don't see any issues with the webcam and it will be a keeper for sure. :)

Now all I'll need to do is mess with the Logitune settings, but I am very happy with it. I don't see any reason to send it back. The quality looks much better than I saw in the video from @HiFiGuy528 from 2021..
