Loose Haptic engine in S2 Watch - but Apple won't repair it

    Last week, I noticed a rattle sound coming from my Apple Watch when it was vibrating, a quite clear and distinct rattle sound if you ask me. You even hear it when you shake it a bit, clearly hearing a very loose part inside.

    I took it to an Apple store right away, and for them, this looked like it was extreme. They didn’t doubt for a second that it needed repair, and after a quick software diagnosis, that turned out fine, they took it.

    Sunday, I check online to see how far the process was. Apparently, the error could not be reproduced, so they had shipped it back to the store.

    Today I picked it up, and it still had this extremely unpleasant noise. I talked with the Apple store employee about the issue not being fixed. He could only say that he was very sorry, but that if the repair center didn’t find anything, there was nothing he could do, no matter how distinct and clear the noise was.

    Honestly, this is extremely frustrating. It’s super uncomfortable to use the watch, knowing that something is terribly wrong. Not to mention how disappointed I am, that such a clear defect is not being taken care of.

    Definitely the haptic engine is separated or lose, or it’s just becoming defective. I would go back to the Apple Store, ask for a manager, because that’s clearly a hardware concern. As long as there’s no signs of the watch possibly being dropped or external damage showing that may have caused the haptic engine to malfunction, then Apple should try to assist you the best they can.
