Fan sites have confirmed both of these.

Yes it was Locke who peeked out the window and yes it was Jacks dad in Jacobs chair. Weird...

Actually fansites (Lostpedia and TV w/o Pity) are still debating the eye being Patchy (can't remember his real name) or Marvin Candle. Apparently Locke's eye is a different color than the eye in the cabin. Whose ever eye it was, it was creepy. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Wow!

Looks like the producers are finally going to throw a few bones our way... Literally!

Polar Bear Bones in the desert with a Dharma collar. New symbol or was that a rehash of one of the station symbols?

Walt is back only taller. Can't wait to see him!

They are looking for Ben and its the guy who visited Hurley that sent them. Quite a little search party they sent, an anthropologist, a physicist, a Ghost Buster and a drunk. That crew belongs on this Island!

Lost is finally getting interesting again. They really did a lot of bouncing back and forth this episode. Kind of freaky that Ben knew everything about them already. I guess he was expecting them.

Weve seen the symbol for the hydra on the map in the hatch... but im not sure if weve seen the actual station.

Edit: The hydra was the big station on the other island, where the polar bear cages were...

He did have a man on the boat!

I missed the first 5 min. today , but it was a good episode. I wonder why the lady (anthropologist) was the only one with a bullet proof vest on?

Could his man on the boat be Michael and/or Walt?

He did give them a very specific direction to head, maybe he was intending them to end up on the boat, and then contacted Michael somehow to get the information about the boat's crew.

I'm starting to think that none of the Oceanic survivors deserves to be rescued. They're all proving to be dumber than Gilligan.

Jack: Tell me why you're here and I'll give you the phone.
Miles: Give me the phone and I'll tell you why we're here.
Jack (hands over phone): Don't say anything about your sister.

Jack then proceeds to let Miles walk half a city block away while Jack talks to Sayid, making no attempt to make sure that Miles isn't calling in a tactical nuclear strike.

or then there was:

Locke: What is the black smoke monster
Ben : Look at the shiny thing...
Locke: Ooooooo!

Ok, it wasn't quite that bad but he had a gun to Ben's head and didn't pursue his line of questioning... just gave up as soon as Ben steered the conversation away from the question...

LOL, I had the same impression about those scenes, Ben ultimately said he didn't know about the Smoke Monster and didn't answer the Polar Bear thing.

The phone scene seemed kind of rediculous too. I thought it was pretty funny they referred to him as a ghostbuster though. Lost was always a little out there, but this guy really has the show making a left turn.

Anthropology is a tough business.

The question for me is, why are they after Ben? Even the "ghostbuster" guy, who would seem to have nothing to do with any of this, must have some link to the island or to the group that Ben murdered.

They were all hired for 'a reason', according to the guy who visited Hurley at the mental hospital in last weeks episode. That could be their only link. They work for the guy who wants Ben.

But last week, wasn't he asking Hurley about the island and any more survivors? When they got 'the six' off the island, wouldn't the rescuer's know there were other survivors there?

I'll still keep watching Lost because well... I have little else to do but man this show is getting dumb. I know Ben is pretty adamant about not talking about things but there is seriously a lack of prying and communication on the part of almost everybody else.

These people have been trapped on the island for months now experiencing some weird weird things, 3 people literally fall out of the sky at them to rescue them (along with a helicopter pilot) and the one lady that came from the chopper literally treats the Lost crew like an extinct species. Don't you think they might just sit down and have a bit of a chat about whats going on? Even a "where are we?". The Lost people don't even seem to care that they are on the verge of being rescued (hah! as if they will be). The way they act it's like they are being picked up to go to a baseball game and not off some crazy island with crazy folk.

Keep in mind, they're all pretty afraid (or even terrified) of the people who are supposedly rescuing them. Combine that with the secretive and hostile attitudes of the rescuers and you're going to get some mixed emotions.

Some thoughts...

So we have our helicopter that Desmond saw Claire board in his vision. He hasn't been wrong yet. He has misinterpreted them. It might be a while though. Claire, Desmond, and Hurley are not in Jack's group. This split group coming back together thing could get dragged out for who knows how long.

Given Desmond's track record... Claire will board the helicopter, but it will be blown out of the sky by a stinger missile fired by Jack Bauer, Ben's man on the boat. Desmond has been screwed by Jack again!

I've pondered what LOST is all about and read quite a few theories and here's my take....

The island is essentially the lost island of Atlantis; hence the submarine that Locke blew up. It is a magical place and yet there are explainable events which make sense in terms of the natural world.

I've given up trying to figure out what it all means.

I'm just going along for the ride...

I wonder if this chap by saying survivors meant from HIS group and not the Losties..........

So now we know Sayid and Ben

A nice little island map that popped up on DIGG

Well, I don't know about Ben. What's the deal with all the passports? Can he get off the island another way? It seems like the boat people want Ben dead, and vice versa, so I don't think he would have been one of the rescued six. Plus the 6 is 6 survivors from the flight, right?

Edit: I see you changed your post as I was posting, so I guess we both said the same thing...

i also wonder about the passports. ben must be omnipotent and using his knowledge to manipulate people to achieve his ends (big surprise). there has to be a way for him to get off the island if he wanted to.

i don't think he is one of the oceanic six because wouldn't that just draw attention to him and what he was doing there and the whole dharma shadiness?

any theories on penelope? the 'rescuers' seem to know something about her by the pilot guy having to look at the physicist for confirmation first to not say anything to desmond.

now this new plot, seems like ben and sayid vs. the 'rescuers' to protect the remaining survivors
