Forgive me if this has been brought up, I tried searching for the key words but nothing came up. (and I really didn't feel like reading through 131 pages)

Has anyone checked out: http://www.timelooptheory.com/ ?

The guys theory is pretty amazing, if you ask me, it is probably the most complete I have read about.

Again, sorry if this was already posted.

Just as I left work, I told a colleague, I'm not sure watching Lost's ridiculous story lines anymore is worth it just to see Evangeline Lily. Thank goodness that this last episode straightened me out on that! :)

(though, I don't remember her having such giant buck teeth)

What's the deal with their cover story? Eight Survived the crash and only six returned? She's got Claire's baby?

Great episode last night, I just don't know what to say about this show anymore though...

They were in the middle of filming S4 when the writers strike began at the end of November. At that point, they had finished with the first 8 episodes. Unless the writers strike is resolved soon, that is all there will be in S4.
Source

Since I didn't see mention of it later in the thread, this season will have 13 episodes with the last 35 appearing in S5/6, meaning that there won't be any episodes cut out of the planned 48.

Here's a question, have they comletely abandoned "The Numbers"?

They should change the show name to "Occham's Razor is for Dunces".

The thing that bothers you is the buck teeth? No mention of the insanely manly body? The horse face?

I just hope that the show doesn't go too much into sci-fi.... black smoke and Desmond's time travel was cool, but alternate timelines and loops is just eek. I'll always love this show, but it's complicated as it is, no need to add that stuff!

Definitely looking forward to this weeks episode. Apparently the sneak peaks are REALLY GOOD, but I've *somehow* refrained from watching them. w00t. :D

Jack claimed that eight survived the crash. Jack has told this story many times (which we learned from Kate). We know the truth: there were dozens of survivors, so he's lying. Jack couldn't be the only one making this claim since the Oceanic Six are celebrities and must have all been interviewed. So they must all be playing along.

Presumably, if Claire had gotten off the island, Aaron would be with her, not with Kate. The simplest explanation is that Claire didn't survive, and Kate took Aaron, and maybe she was asked to take Aaron by Claire. Other scenarios: Claire wanted to stay on the island, even without Aaron, or she escaped but can't take care of Aaron.

The public knows about six survivors that returned, and believes that two survived the crash but didn't return. There may be a dozen or more Losties who got off the island, but are hiding their identities or presence, e.g., Ben and Sayid. Hey, I know: Claire is now an assassin working for Ben, and that's why she has to let Kate take care of Aaron!

Please say it ain't so! I'll accept any other explanation; maybe the numbers are simply resting. I need my numbers!

Or as my wife mentioned, it's possible that Kate kidnapped Aaron.

But Sayid is known as one of the 6. Ben wasn't on the plane so he isn't. Aaron was not either, although it does point to a time shift on the island since the survivors have not been there long enough to have had babies yet, and Kate wasn't pregnant (or showing) before the crash, how are they going to explain the baby?

That was my first thought. That either Kate kidnapped Aaron or took him after Claire died.

Ben wasn't on the plane so he isn't. Aaron was not either,

Uhh, I think we don't know yet if Ben was one of the six. He has a drawer full of passports, etc, and could conceivably found his way amongst the survivors.

This show seems too deliberate for the numbers to have died, they'll be back in a weird/freak-you-out sort of way, I'd bet.

Someone wants Ben dead, there's no way he'd be part of the six given their notoriety. After a crash the passenger lists are usually published so I maintain that however long they were on the island, that the media has had the entire passenger list, and photos for most of the passengers for quite some time. I'm almost willing to bet that the six will all be individuals from the plane.

I don't it's anywhere near that complicated, and we already know some of it is incorrect, especially after the previous episode showing who future Sayid's boss is.

He updates it weekly, and in fact has already addressed the "boss" issue.

What happened to Jack's dead father, whose coffin was found empty?

The other others are still on the other island, right?

Aren't the other others hanging out on the other other's other island, with the kids?

What happened to the kids?

The Others are going to a place called the Temple, and I believe it's on the main island, not the Hydra island. They were on the main island while travelling to the Temple with Ben before the survivors ruined Ben's plan by killing the Others Special Forces (OSF) and trekking to the radio tower forcing Ben to leave the Others in Richard Alpert's hands. All the kids and other captured survivors were together on the trip to the Temple.

As for Jack's dad, watch the Missing Pieces mobisodes on abc.com, particularly the last one. It shows Vincent in the jungle being called over to none other than Christian Sheppard, who tells him to go wake up his son who is "over in the bamboo forrest." As Vincent leaves Christian says, "He has work to do." We then see the openning of the very first episode of Lost. Jack's eye, him waking up in the jungle, and the dog coming upon him and running away. Then in the first episode this season we saw Christian in Jacob's cabin sitting in Jabob's chair kinda lifeless. I assume he's still in Jacob's cabin.

The numbers were explained in the ARG between seasons 2 - 3. Just do a youtube and you can find out all about them. Obviosuly they've got to somehow explain them on the show for those who don't watch, but I wouldn't expect some amazing explanation; they predict the end of ze world.

ETA: Best thing ever
