I cannot express how excited I am to have this season's Lost episodes available for download... this is amazing. I'm watching last week's episode right now, it's pretty swell.

<spoiler></spoiler>Read it verrrrrry carefully!

That was fun, I decoded it anyway to see how much i could remember. Sadly I only knew about 20% of the letters by memory, had to look up the rest :( .

Yes, an actual screen grab, using the Zoom feature of Flash. I wonder if it changes over time as the Morse Code is suspected of doing. So far today they have both stayed constant for me.

Doesn't seem to be changing for me, either.

Note that it is an 'O', not a zero. I copied it as text, oddly enough.

not quite that would be Fe2NO6 this would be 2 molecules of FeNO6
Yep, you're right... been a long time since I took chemistry.

Is FeNO6 even a stable molecular configuration? (A quick Google search shows that it is, but does not reveal what FeNO6 might be good for.)

typed it into wikipedia and it came up with a whole list of drugs

I have a feeling we're looking too deep into this one...

Jin's father-in-law is either a part of the DHARMA initiative, or possibly a competitor that wants to take over and get ahold of the government funding. (If DHARMA really did manage to do something that threatens the planet they must have a sweet deal with whatever governments fund them to keep the planet here). I'd look to Jin for reasons for the plane crash which leads to my wild theory:

The plane was never in the air and some of the survivors were pre-selected to survive the crash. There was an elaborate simulation that gave the impression of flight and the plane was rigged to get pulled apart and some seats purposely had weaker bolts to possibly get ripped from the plane into the simulator/wind tunnel/whatever contraption they had. As they ripped apart the plane some people got sucked out, some got ripped out by force of the simulated impact on the island (through a low altitude drop to the actual island via helicopter or some other means) and some survived.

That's my current theory but I don't necessarily believe it myself, since the writers are definitely more creative than me.

So much for those theories now that we know why Jin spoke english....

What a F'n tease...:D

Well, tonight's episode didn't do a whole lot to move the plot forward. Rose will be glad to learn that Bernard's still with us, though.

Dammnit!! I click on links almost unconsciously and I find myself in the Lost thread. The show has yet to air on the west coast, but I find myself perusing the posts, without realizing I'm reading about Lost. MR is evil!

MacRumors is completely benign, it is we the users who bend and shape it for our evil plots. Or maybe that's just me...:D

Yeah, we have to be considerate of those on the West Coast, for whom the show doesn't end until 1 AM ET.

So respectful, clayj. I am one of those west coasters, And i'd appreciate to have fresh lost every week, but be able to contribute to the theories and speculation as well.

...assuming the message (or Bernard) ever gets to her.

I liked the ending, where she saved Sweet Tooth Bernard some candy.

Would you like to know MY method for distributing the food? I'd let them draw straws to establish an order, and then go through the group over and over in that order. On their turn, each person gets to pick one item from storage. They then own that item. After everything is distributed, all further sharing is by bartering.

Of course, I get a 5% cut as a consulting fee.

The Morse code has changed at bigspaceship1.com. Now it says "NARVIK FOR LIFE".

There's a connection. In Season 2 Episode 3 of Lost, you briefly see City Hall in Narvik, Norway. But I see no polar bears in this photo.

Woa now. We need our best researchers on this one... How is Narvik significant?

The show has a lot to do with fathers as well.

Jack's was picking up his dead fathers casket in Australia
Locke's "father" stole his kidney
Sawyer has father issues (someone else can elaborate, I cant remember)
The Blonde's (whats her name?)father died on Jacks operating table
The Hobbitt dood is like a father to the baby on the island
Walt + his dad
Jin + his father in law

Im sure there's more...
