I expected something more revealing in that missing section of tape. But I know who chopped it out in the first place!

That's the thing that bothered me most about this week's episode. Of course I'm curious about who edited the tape, but more importantly, why cut out that particular piece? What about that particular clip would make someone want to censor it? Perhaps there will be other pieces of the film discovered later in the series? Thoughts?

What bugged me most, is where does 8mm tape hold audio?

Well technically, it's 8mm film... and there's the possibility it was 16mm... but that's off topic.
As far as I'm aware, there are certain kinds of 8mm film that have magnetic audio strips in them, that projectors can read. (Correct me if i'm wrong.)

Oh, I didn't know that. My bad.

I dont think Eko was on the plane at all. He was the remaining survivor of the Nigerian missionary drug smuggling plane from the earlier episodes. Hes been on the island for quite some time....

Nah, I'm pretty sure that Eko was on the plane for the following reasons:

1. He was pulling people out of the water right after the plane crash.

2. On the first day or two (before the others tried to take him away and he killed 2 of them) he had office white shirt and black pants on and the shirt was spotless (except from the fact that it was wet). There's no way anyone can keep his/her shirt that clean in the jungle. Also, note the fact that he killed the others.

Never said he was one of the "others". he just crashed on a different plane while smuggling drugs. the "others" would attack him too. the only point you may have is the cleanliness of his clothes, although I dont remember myself. we shall see.....

But he already has him back. Sort of. I've been known to IM family members rather than take the trouble to walk into the other room, and he can do the same. It would be much more convenient if he's just an online parent.

Walt: Dad?

Michael: Hi, son. Where are you?

Walt: I don't know.

Michael: Well, that's ok. I was just curious.

Walt: I'm in a dark room and they bring me some kind of icky soup. That's all I get to eat.

Michael: Hey man, you should see the food supply room here! The even have Hostess cupcakes! Well, gotta go, I have a golf game scheduled. Talk to you later. Bye.

Walt: Dad? Dad?

Sound tracks used to be stored off to the side of the film and were encoded optically. Ever see a movie slide sideways off the track and there are a set of peak and valley things off to the side? That's the sound.

Ooooops!!

Two 'Lost' Stars Arrested Within Minutes Of Each Other

HONOLULU -- Two cast members of the hit ABC series "Lost" were released on $500 bail each Thursday after being charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
Police said Michelle Rodriguez -- who plays Ana Lucia -- and Cynthia Watros -- who portrays Libby -- were arrested in separate cars within 15 minutes of each other in Kailua.
Watros was arrested at 12:05 a.m. and Rodriguez at 12:20 a.m., according to police records.
Police said the two were spotted weaving on Pali Highway and later failed field sobriety tests.
Rodriguez, 27, and Watros, 37, are to appear at a driver's license revocation hearing at Kaneohe District Court on Dec. 29.
Rodriguez was booked under the name Mayte Michelle Rodriguez.
Motorists arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant automatically have their driver's licenses revoked. They are given a temporary license that allows them to drive, but under several restrictions.

Well, at least they weren't caught in the bathroom together or something...

I blame Matthew Fox, since he was handing out whiskey in the last episode.

Fair enough. I guess the others would attack him too.

Just feel kindda odd that he would be rescued people from the plane crash if he wasn't on the plane. Anyhow, just my 2 cents. ;)

Can't wait until next wednesday!!!

An interesting read about electormagnetism and how it might play into Lost.

Yeah that is one amazing theory. I read it just before going to bed last night and couldn't stop thinking about it.

I'm not to sure on the whole plane crash staging part but everything else fits very well. Goes with the whole "it can all be explained scientifically" line.

Of course, it could all be a load of tosh. ;)

BTW, did anyone else think anymore about the blast doors? The second dead bunker was really small (or they didn't explore any of it) which makes me think whatever incident happened there activated the doors.

It was on the Lost Promotional CD.

Its kinda sucky.

Thanks, if you could email it that would be great. You should've received an email from me. Thanks!

I think that the "Others" are the rest of the people that had to press that frickin' button for months on end. That would drive me loony!

Just kidnap the kids so they could press it while the adults did whatever things crazy jungle people do...

Or not...hehe...

HOLY CRAP!

I just started watching this show 2 nights ago (got my hands on the first season DVDs and Tivo is catching the rest :D), and I'm 11 episodes in. I can't get enough of it. Anyway...just wanted to express my pleasure (an newfound addiction. :p ) I can't wait until I'm up to date and I can read the rest of this thread withou spoilers.
