Could somebody PM me or just tell me what happens at the end of the first series? I never saw it and I'll be damned if I have to time to watch the whole 1st series. I know bits of info from mates who've been watching it since the start. What's in that hatch? do they escape?

Mate, if you've only caught bits of info from friends, it's waaaaaaaaaaay too complicated to try and explain.

To answer specifics though...

We still don't know what is under the hatch at the end of season 1, and they're still stuck there.

I agree bring on the 11th, season 2 is great so far, that ana lucia chick is annoying me though!!!

Not much as it happened. In fact, I can't remember at all, I just know it was a bit dull compared to all that had happened in the episodes before (the other 48 days, collision etc etc).

Hopefully there'll be something of interest in this two hour session.

Walt talking to Michael on the computer. :) Which should not be used for anything but entering the numbers, the tape says. :p

Two episodes.. double fun! :D I will be back in this thread in a day.. catch ya then. :)

I expect the first hour to refresh our memory. My dynamic brain RAM drains when the show is in repeats, or having no episodes at all, for so long.

It's not really a double episode is it? I thought it's a catch-up episode and then the real deal...

Nope, two proper episodes.

I forgot about the computer and Walt-Michael!

Edit: Oh yeah - sorry, I'm sorta wrong - first episode is an overall catch-up of the whole show. Hope that means there's lots they're going to get on with...

I guess it's worth reminding people about the suffix on the name of this thread -- "includes spoilers on show nights". Talk may soon turn to what happened tonite, not what's coming up tonite. Don't say you weren't warned.

...Walt-Michael...
I read your post much too quickly, and did a double-take because I read the word Wal-Mart. They may find surprises while exploring the island, but I hope a Wal-Mart is not one of them. :p

Who nose - Wal-Mart's so rich the whole DHARMA initiative could be a Walton plaything! (Anyone remember what brand the food stuff in the hatch was?)

The first episode is a repeat.

Sort of - yes, but I don't think it's a rerun of any particular episode, just a mash up of all of them (first and second series?).

Jack watches Kate give Sawyer a hair cut.. Oh god, how boring can it get..

Fingers crossed that's purposefully misleading, but then again, it could be right

Wow, just finished some what of a Lost marathon.

Bloody hell, I'm shattered after all that!

Over the past week & a half my girlfriend and I watched the entire first season. Finished last night; just in time!

Thanks BT, you helped with my Lost fix!

Anyone else out there anxiously awaiting some backgroud info on Mr. Eko?

HELP I missed what looked to be an important scene on tonights new episode. Early on, there was a scene which ends with Locke and Michael and Locke saying "why are you here michael?" Michael has a blank look on his face. So what did michael and Locke talk about?

What? No spoilers? There's nothing to spoil.
It's a show without an end, COMPLETELY indecipherable. I just don't get the point. It's like the X-Files where nothing was ever proven. But in THIS case the producers have made a knot that cannot be untangled.
You all have been swindled into watching 2 years worth of commercials.

How long can this show last on mysteries?

While there are some good characters, this show is based on the question of just what is the true nature of this island? Once the mystery is revealed (mad scientists, bad army experiment, nato/alien base, whatever), all that matters is how our favorite characters react to and overcome the island.

They say that the writers planned for 5 seasons, but the way it's going I think 3 is more like it.

They've already said how it ends...the writers I mean. I won't tell you, but if you look hard enough you might find it. The only thing they didn't say was how they get to that ending.

I love this show fwiw, it keeps me guessing, and on the edge always waiting for the next week. I can see where you're coming from though, but i'm sure they have more tricks up their sleeves.
