Umm I am not sure if this is going to piss people off by posting this but in episode 9 season 2 in the widescreen edition when Kate sees the horse and begins walking towards it................is it me or can you see what appears to be a trainers hand steadying the horse???? I swear to god I can see someones hand to the extreme right and its not kates or sawyers. I dont know if anyone has mentioned this before since i have never read this thread in the hope that i don't spoil anything since i am trying to catch up but i search horse and only a few threads came up none of which mentioned this hand.

I like this show alot but unfortunately I have found ample spots and times in the plot that could be picked apart as inconsistent let alone a trainers hand. Its like in a movie when you can see the guy with the camera filming in a mirror or reflection.

Edit: I snapped a couple of frames and I asked my brother if he noticed anything weird after three tries he finally saw it and agrees. The pictures do not really do it justice but if you were to watch that corner during that exact time i don't think anyone would disagree with me.

iDM, you may post about all the flubs you like. Nobody reported that one before.

They will obviously have to find a way to twist the plot to explain why mute horsetrainers happen to be on the island hiding in the forest.

hahahahahahahahah so true i can't wait to see how they try and make that whole floating black smoke thing work

p.s. look up i posted pictures of it

Meh, that's not as bad as the earlier episodes of 24 Season 1. Like that shootout between some terrorists and Jack and his first boss in like the first or second episode... You see a producer and maybe one other crew member running on the side when there's glass shattering and bullets being fired. You're in this intense, dramatic moment of Jack and his boss taking cover and getting fired upon, and then you say a guy coming near Jack, you start freaking out if that's one of the terrorists or not (but it just happens to be a crew member)! Then there's another episode where Nina is entering an abandoned gas station to make a phone call, but in the shadows you see some crew members backing away slowly. Again, you think someone is coming after her, but no, it's just the crew members screwing up because no one poses a threat against her.

Of course, just as with that episode of Lost, you only see it on the DVD or in HD because of the widescreen aspect ratio.

End of my pseudo-rant. :D

Funny things, but you gotta remember it's just a TV show.

You know I was wondering if that was because it was a wide aspect.

Was it me or did last night's episode suck? Not to JJ, advance the story a bit. There are just way too many things that have gone nowhere.

I agree. I wasn't really a big fan of last nights episode. I don't really think I dig the direction they are taking the Charlie character. But that's just my personal opinion.

All the characters seem to be getting their own episode where they need to overcome some mental obsticle? Also there always seems to be one outcast in the group and then are rotated...

very lame episode IMO.
nothing really happened and all the baptism rants are either useless nonsense (as far as the story goes) or take the story in dubious directions (like if the baptism 'protects' aaron from the evil on the island or stuff like that).
If the show turns all biblical/religious would be a major let down.

I don't like where they are headed with Charlie but, what the heck are the doing to Locke? The slow pan to him when Charlie mentions getting Aaron baptized, his beating up Charlie, and saving the statues. Of course there may be medical reasons to save the statues, Jack might find a need for the drugs if they go to war with the others, but I'm assuming that Locke doesn't know about that idea yet....

As usual, Hurley was the best part of the episode. Lucky he had Sawyer to give him encouragement and romantic tips. :)

We got to see the early bit of Charlie's backstory (dreams of getting his piano) and a fast-foward to his Driveshaft band's woes. We've already seen the next bit of the story, where Charlie visits Liam and tries to get the band back together.

By the way, they were a great band in their prime. Here's a photo I took at their concert in 2000. ;)

Haha Charlie has to stand on boxes and phone books.......

I think Locke saved the heroin because it does have medicinal properties (it was supposed to be a less addictive alternative to the painkiller morphine).

What I found funny was when Charlie gave back the baby (for the 2nd time) Locke hit him three times in the face and he fell into the water... to me it reminded me of a faith healers baptism i.e. the first punch (or in real cerimonies the touching of the forehead) was for the father, the second for the son, and the third for the holy ghost. :) Then when they showed Charlie lying in the waves it remined me of the 'emersion into water' that some faiths do to baptize their followers...quite clever!

One thing that the show didn't make clear is if Charlie did actually use after he found the heroin stash. Although he was experiencing those weird dreams he didn't really look strung out, but had a hard time parting with it.

I just watched it and I am throughly displeased about the religious aspect they are throwing in. If i wanted to watch and have "God as my Savior and only way to Salvation" rammed down my throat I would watch the 700 club. This whole "must be baptized to be safe on the island" thing is bothering me to no extent. I give it a couple more episodes and with anymore subtle religious hints I'll never watch it again.

If it's in context, it should get interesting. If it's just some weird tangent, it won't make sense. I agree that the episodes are getting kinda slow lately. The one with Eko was pretty good, but I can't even remember what happened the one before that.

Last night I noticed no one had really posted. I was going to write something like, "for those of you who missed it, don't worry, nothing happened". :p I'm sure next week will be better.

Is anyone else tired of hearing Claire yell, "my BABBEEEYYY." She is so hot with that accent, but so annoying when she yells about her baby i can't get it out of my head. I think the quota for her saying, "My Baby" is at least 3 per episode.

Im just waiting for the Dingo......

Don't forget... new Lost tonight! I believe after tonight, we have two more weeks of reruns (because of the Olympics on NBC).

So get Lost while you can!

EDIT: According to IMDb, looks like there actually WILL be a new episode next week...

Pretty sure I just saw Sawyer ordering lunch from Kate's mom in a diner (in a flashback, obviously)... the Real World connections keep increasing and increasing...

EDIT: Wow, GOOD episode! Sawyer is certainly the master of the long con. It was interesting to see how he (with help from an unlikely source) played everyone.

And the Glenn Miller Orchestra, for anyone who's interested, ceased to be during WW II when Glenn Miller's plane went down over the English Channel.

yeah, i'm fairly sure that was kate's mom. i'm gonna rewatch "What Kate Did" to make sure, but yeah..

that was a fabulous episode, one of my favorite of the new season. i'm really beginning to like sawyer more and more, and jack less and less.

first, i thought it was ana-lucia trying to con the guns away, then jack. it didn't really hit me that sawyer was pulling a fast one until they showed the line in the flashback when he replied to Cassidy's question about what a long con was... i heard that and i sorta did a doubletake really fast... :X

but what i'm looking forward to is next week. plus some spoilers that i kinda went through really fast as actually not to REALLY spoil for myself looked really... interesting.

You don't have to rewatch that episode. The cast listing on IMDb confirms that it was the same actress. So Sawyer ran into Kate's mom back in the world... yet another connection.

Stuff in the previews:

- I saw Sayid with a gun, so obviously Sawyer is going to allow the group to have access to at least some of the guns.
- The timer hits zero. (Insert ominous "duh duh DUH" music here.)
- They capture one of the Others?

What I was most intrigued by tonight was Sayid and Hurley listening to the Duke Ellington Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and Hurley's throwaway line that the signal they were hearing could be from "any time".

If they're really stuck in some sort of time warp, it could explain why they've been unable to contact the outside world... back during WW II, for example, there might not be anyone listening to whatever frequency they broadcast on.
