I had a colleague who dated a woman for a few months and hit if off similarly. They were engaged and quickly married. The following week she told him that she was a terminal cancer patient, had been for a couple of years, and she and her family kept it from him during their dating.
That's not cool. Rose was honest ahead of time, which is the proper thing to do, and she's only a TV character.

I knew a couple who were engaged when she got seriously ill. He stuck with her and gradually nursed her back to health and then they got married. That was admirable too.

You're all ignoring the best part. The healing nature of the island is interesting and all, but the best part of the flashback was when Bernard asked Rose to marry him and she told him she was sick. I admit, I teared up a little when he said you haven't answered my question. Sniff.

This is true - my girlfriend pointed out that for her, the only truly emotional episodes from both series were the two involving Bernard and Rose. The first was when they were reunited, and the second was this most recent episode.

Has anybody noticed the image at the top of the page at oceanic-air.com?

Here's the image:

There's a ship. Is it the one The Others were on when they grabbed Walt? Is that our old friend Mr. Smoke over the island? There is also something slanty in the distance. A supply drop? A signal flare?

The Oceanic Airlines logo could be an island or perhaps an eye watching you!

It sure does appear that way. Interesting...

"Taking you places you've never imagined."
That sure is a place I would never imagine going! :D

I just need to get something off my chest. I really like Lost. But two things are making my loyalty waver a bit.

First, is it impossible to get more than 3 new episodes every couple of months? Geez, it seems like every couple of weeks, they play re-runs or take a whole month off or something. Its killing the pacing of the show, and makes it really hard to maintain an interest.

Second, and I may be alone in this, it seems as if they are continually building to a climax and then... nothing. Just nothing. How long can they go without giving us any answers. Just a single, tiny little answer.

OK. I feel better now. I'll keep the Tivo set for Lost.;)

I had a theory last night. Inspired by the Channel 4 Lost series 2 advert. Showing a space shuttle crash near the island.
What if this place is in space somewhere? another planet? I mean going off what some guy said "God can't see this place" and the space shuttle. Maybe it's a test mission to a terraformed Mars?

Oh I know it's waaaay out there on the Lost-o-metre.

Erm...

Erm... that is a clip from the episode 'another 48 days' that shows the tail section of the plane crashing, not a space shuttle.

I really hope that they don't drag all this all out over the (apparently) 4 seasons they have written, I want to know whats going on! Anyone have an awesome theory?

Interesting theory, however it doesn't provide much support for a lot of the stuff that has been happening since november in Season 2.

If everything is so intricately engineered and managed by the "collective conscious", then what is the significance of the Others?

All of you are missing the most important new angle that may materialize out of this episode.

It appeared as if right at the end of the last episode Kate was gonna lean in for a kiss with Jake................oh man I hope things start heating up with her and we get to see some hot love scenes of her doing her thing. Hell that will pretty much rap up the series for me if I get to see her getting here groove on.

I hope you were being sarcastic, because they've had numerous moments like that before, and actually kissed once.

And if by Jake you mean Jack then yes, it was a kiss with Jake.

Lastly, I would also like to see more of evangeline lilly. Some michelle rodriguez too....

I figured it out!

I figured out Lost! I'll give you a hint...

Both Lost and Alias had an episode named S.O.S.

Just think about that for a while.............

Really I got nothin'... I just thought it was odd since they're both by J.J. Abrams and both episodes aired fairly close to each other.

There is no way they would make it a "dream". That would be the biggest copout of all time. That said, with these types of shows it is always difficult getting the true mystery to be on par with all the theories out there.

Im not saying this is a dream but a delusional imaginary world inside one of the characters heads. My guess is that its the crazy guy in the mental hospital that keeps repeating the numbers....

Ana Lucia goes to jail.

ABC spokesman Jeff Fordis said there would be no disruptions for "Lost." The season finale is being filmed this week and production is scheduled to be completed by May 5.
Sure there won't be any disruptions; it's only for 5 days, and you've already planned 12 weeks of reruns for the season, so this should fit in nicely.

As a note, Libby (Cynthia Watros) was also cited for drunk driving and paid a fine and underwent counseling. Hmmm.

I think there will be some mental connection, rather than it being 100% physical.

Michelle Rodriguiz has another hearing coming up for parole violation which could land her in the pokey for 18 months which would screw up the shooting schedule unless she gets some work release. Otherwise she will probably meet with a horrible accident.

Or go off on some mission of her own on the island like Michael did.
